  1. (16) For the Pay Every Day Derby, agrees that the minimum weight a salmon, brown trout, lake trout or rainbow trout must weigh is (22) pounds from 5/1 until 6/15, fish must weigh a minimum of twenty five (25) pounds for entry in the Derby from 6/16 until 9/6. The prize will be paid out each day for the single largest fish. In the event a fish is not weighed in on a given in the prize from that day will be rolled over to the next day. This will continue until an eligible fish is caught and weighed in. ---- found this under rule's are they not final yet ???

  2. honestly this one mite be hard for me to get into , been derby fishing for years , but just got uscg lic's and will be trying too drum up clients , but the real of it is it will most likly be me and my partner and maybe a few paying trips , also if anyone don't know this, a USCL don't make ya a better fishermen , it's all safty and rule's while on the water , would of thought USCG captains, would get the brake . or maybe first year captains ? eather way well fish spring, summer, fall as always , if anything changes please post . and keep up your good work !

  3. I saw both of the dec reports from 2008 & 07 & 06 , they use too dump em right at russel thats the Greece lake ontario location but now with no stream there , whats the sence of that , and impact of the situation will they head for the genny or go west to ditches and creeks , im just wondering if there going too up the stocking on other streams around the county or even start stocking the genny with browns , seems like the DEC would put em some where that they would have a stream or a river too run , Reason i brought this up is becouse the warm water out flow from the station kept them browns and the bait fish there year around and now there just seems too be nothing holding them there from getting blown down the lake and no reason too return .also wounld'nt mind seeing the genny get them , seeing they get plucked out of I-creek and sandy pretty fast , I don't know think i got cabin fever and fish on the brain , thx for the input

  4. now that rusell station is a thing of the past and i know they used too stock the browns there (Greece) slater creek use too get great brown runs, where will those fish go ? no more stocking there ? or will they just dump them in the lake ! maybe the genny , just wondering if anyone else has thought about this or has info ,looked around on dec site did'nt come up with anything . always did good west of the river. and would hate too think that fishing there is going too go the same way .

  5. your going too like this one , reason i think i have had good luck with the crimps is i kind of used the knot set up in the mix of it , slide crimps on and up the main line , then i have the main line ran though the swivel two time's , then ya thread the two line's two gether pull tite and crimp, reason being this works for me is the double wrap around the swivel take's all the heat on the strike of a fish , ya i could see failure with crips if there was no raping of the swivel ! just pull though after awhile and bye bye dipsy ,flasher, fly but if done right this has proven too work as good as any , Also the same rapping of line on the swivel should be done should you you's crimps on your downrigger or yes you will drop your weight's sooner or later . all good info in here
