  1. Marcstevens, thank you!  I coach baseball down there 3x/weekly and never knew it ran back there.  I might try that.

As far as fishing the actual river, I'm DONE!  I've thrown crankbaits, worms on bottom, worms with split shots and everything else.  Only thing I've caught are rocks and lost some of my best baits.  FORGET the river.  Heading for the canal to try next.

  2. That is AWESOME.....I've never had luck on Conesus casting (have caught a couple trolling at night).  You mind general direction?  South, East, West??

Any preference to color and assume at NIGHT.

THAT IS ONE HELL OF a catch there.

  3. Anyone seen if they are still yanking em out of there?  Thinking they would have slowed with the cold spell, but ready to come alive again.  Want to fish Pike down at Conesus, but after leaving two voicemails and sending 3 emails to Mark's Leisure Time Marine, not a single call or email back on a boat rental...  REALLY?

  4. UPDATE from Sunday April 20th.  Bite was on::::

My lord were they on.  Took my 8 year old down with me around 3-4PM and right from the beginning it didn't matter if it was chicken liver or nightcrawler, they were biting one after another.  We caught probably around 30-35 of them in a 3 hour window, actually fishing with just ONE pole at the end, taking turns, one right after another.

The good news was/is, was the bite was on up and down the inlet there.  You did NOT have to be in the first spot casting towards the lake (however that was the best spot).  As it got later around 6:30-7:00, they just were hitting everywhere.

Was an EXCELLENT day/night, and something my boy will remember forever.  That I am sure.  He was talking about it the whole right home, while he was in the shower last night and the first words out of his mouth this AM.

ALSO snagged (NOT on PURPOSE) a pretty nice pike when realing in my bait quickly to check to see if had any bait left.  Probably around 32" pike.

  6. We went Thursday (cold) and wind blowing out of the South and not a SINGLE bite.  Anymore updates?

When you say EVERYONE was catching them, you mean even the people forced to fish the creek versus throwing towards the lake?  Day/Night?

  7. Anyone on some advice/guidance on fishing the Canal?  Live in the Henrietta are and going to litterally be a stones throw away from it when move down around River Rd, this April/May.  Want to take the boy for some general fishing.  Any advice - can you just thrown anywhere on the canal or certain areas in/around the Henrietta area???

    Thank YOu!
