Legacy is right the oak is a good place to start. If you want to catch the browns stay in close however in the last few years some good salmon are being caught out a little farther that time of year. Check attheoak.com before you come up as well as this sight for good reports from all the guys up here. No need to have just one friend on a radio anymore these sites help out alot.

Another option I have for you. i am a VIP member for torpedo divers and i spoke with the owner a few weeks ago. he said they are coming out with a torpedo downrigger weight up to 15 lbs. the good news with that is little blow back. should be out next month.
