Nice fish. Lakers fight good through the ice. While they may not be the prettiest fish or best eating, I always found it fasinating that live soo long, believe 30+ years...something to think about when you catch a biggun!!!!

seen that happen with the blue sharks out of Glouster as well......really dissappointing to reel 200 feet just to end up with a Cod head!!!

Has anyone ever showed these folks what happens to these fish after they spawn?? Think they are much better in the smoker and also, may save me from grabbin a f'ing CHEESEBURGER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tim, I was waiting for your report so I could thank you again for the awesome day we had.....we had it all, beautiful weather, good fishing and great company!! It was really something to hear Kent tell his story to everyone when we got home....you can really just feel the excitement!! I know it was a day he or I will never forget!! Hi guys, I need LOTS of help...I am taking my stepson out of Mexico state launch, and I think he pretty much set on seeing his first Lake O Salmon.... I hope I can hook one for him.... My question is, what is the best way for someone that has little experience?? I have 2 small downriggers, with 10 lb weights. I have some J-plugs and some spoons, and a few flashers and flys. I have 4 trolling rods, and a few dipsys that I have no idea how to use. I was thinking of keeping it simple by running a spoons on the DR and maybe a plug off the dipsy strait back at 0 setting????? Also, are spoons used behind a flasher, or just flies behind the flashers?? What do you think?? Thanks for any help, (and be easy on the new guy with stupid questions!!) Mike

Hi all, new here....not sure where to post this, but I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to where I can find a dealer, particularly Starcraft, that has all or most models available to view. I am in Central NY, but am willing to travel anywhere to compare the Islanders and other models.....Also I am looking for the best customer service as I will have ALOT of questions......
