    Otisco launch

    The project was moving along as of the 15th of March.  I'll update this weekend.  It's not going to have much capacity, but I suppose some may want to save $9.  I'll take a well run private launch with bathrooms, slips, store, garbage/dumpster, and security.

    Anyone with a camper you’re not going to use may want to check out the page “rvs 4 mds”. We dropped ours off at a surgeon’s house in Hilton today. The guy can be home now and not expose his family. IMG_3906.JPG

    I’m essential so I’m working 6 days a week. At night I drink and buy muskie lures. I bought so much stuff I don’t know what’s in the box I’m opening. Kinda fun,sorta like scratch offs. Stay well.

    Poppet valve leaks

    IMG_3876.JPG2008 mercury 150 EFI. I just changed the impeller,thermostats and poppet valve. Water leaking out the weep hole. Google answers are making my head hurt. Any advice?

    Onboard Charger Issues

    If the battery voltage drops down too low then the charger does not recognize that there is a battery hooked up, and will not try to charge it. This happens on my boat a lot, but my charger is much older. I don't know if the newer Minn Kota's do the same thing. When this happens to me I would have to charge the battery first with my portable charger to get the voltage back up, and then let the on board charger take over. 

    Happens to me all the time as well.

    I “upgraded” to a 9 inch hook 2 with down and side scan last year. I don’t know what the heck I’m seeing on down and side. Charts are crap until you add a $200 navionics chip. Pos freezes all the time. I sent it back twice. They don’t fix it. It’s $900 piece of junk.

    Today the governor was talking 4-9 months of restrictions. Maybe to shock people into compliance but who knows? Tournament season not looking good. On the plus side I can still go fishing. We’ll just roll with it for now I guess and see how it goes. Sharpen those hooks and wash your hands.

    The first tournament is not all that far off so we should put our heads together as how to proceed. Maybe all will be well by then but who knows? Maybe we could still have it without the picnic? Maybe an on line tournament on any body of water? We could use a code word issued on day of tournament that we would make our own signs for. Adjustments.JPG maybe just pass on this one and share info and catches with each other? Use the money you would have paid to enter to buy a bait from Zack or Steve or anyone who’s not going to be able to sell at the expos. Or spend it on food. I don’t know how many of us are hurting. Your thoughts please. God bless and stay well.
