I want to take my dad up this weekend. He has never caught a walleye, and I myself have never caught one over 3 lbs. I would love to get in on some of this action while it lasts. I have a 17 foot boat all set up for trolling, down riggers, planner boards, lead core, and all sorts of tackle. I also have down speed and temp if that would help. I am a successful salmon and trout fisherman, but have never had much luck trolling for walleyes. I have never been up in that area and it is a long drive for me. Any help on what to us.... spoons, stick baits, divers, or harnesses would be great. Also how and where to fish them. I am not looking to slaughter just a weekend thing, and I'd be happy with one fish for the each of us. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Fishinfreak

Fished 5.30 to 10.30 am for only one bass.Sticks ,cranks.spoons and spinner harness.Riggers,boards,and leadcore no go on anything. First time out this year I will try again next weekend.

Try looking at the camera footage of the people going in and out of the store.That will tell you if it is anyone you know.That may give you something to go on.

Sorry to hear that.I had the same thing happen 8 years ago in front of my apartment at the time.The thing was it was a privite complex off the main road.So it was someone who knows me or a groundskeeper.Hope it works out , it did not for me.I did not lose near as much as you though.Good luck the security footage idea is a great idea worth looking into.Nothing worse then a thief.

My buddie is catching huge lake trout in the bays up near henderson.He was not even targeting them but trolling for eyes.I have never heard of lakers in shallow bays.Why is this or has anyone have any info on this.These things are wall hangers and I am in aw over it.thanks

Need some input on some new linecounter reels.I know the best are the shimano's but I drop to much gear in the water to spend that kind of money.Just lost my penn 320gti and talora rod last week.Well anyway I have 6 accudepth linecounters and want to upgrade.Are the sealines any better.Also has anyone used the abu garcia 6500 linecounters and how are they.I am also looking at the penn lc but I want something alittle smaller.thanks

What are the best baits to use.I know flasher and flies and spoons but what ones.Also when and what time of year do they apply.I have only fished it in winter and early spring.That was mainly a surface bite.With some laker action on sutton 44's of the riggers and core.I mainly fish the big O but I am sick of the drive and my boat is just to small.I have everything under the sun for trolling and only live a half hour away.Just need alittle help. thanks
