  1. Before you scope that 94 check the serial #...IF ITS UNDER 2MILLION DONT DO IT!
  2. Im fairly familiar with the jig in question as well.....I also know where to find some that are very similar and much more avalable.
  3. I dont know that I would drill a hole in a 20.00 plug...however try some suspend dots...they weigh 1/32 each I think...that should help to get a bit more depth
  4. besides the lead is covered by the body of the lure, therefor making it..."safe"
  5. Regretfully, I thought better of keeping this one.It was hooked very deep on a plug and the hooks tore its gills badly.I release all of the musky I catch cause I love to catch them.
  6. Well,it looks like it was a good weekend for muskys.Heres one that came out of the Chemung on friday 7/24 .They are out there! This fish looked like a pure strain....any chance?
  7. I shoot an 1100 with a fully rifled barrel, and I have found that federal supremes with the barnes expander is a very accurate and deadly combo.I have played with it and found that an 18" holdover at 200 will put them in every time.At 100 I hold 1" high and put em' in.After several seasons of hunting with them I can say that it is the way to go,of course they may not work for you.Experiment with different loads and see what ya get, shoot the most accurate load you can and hold for the "spot".If you can get a group of 2" you have the right load.
  8. Anyone else been out looking at the creek?I think we are having the making of a long season.Though the water is not what Id like to see, there are some fish around. Most of what Im seeing is not going to be there on the opener. However,if we get the rain we are supposed to there is gonna be more water.Im thinking there will be more fishing (fish),but its gonna a few at a time......any thoughts?
  9. Dont get me wrong, but a simple sanction on a stream, one section at a time is really all thats required.Along with all of us policing our ranks, most of us that fish these streams already know they will bite. Its OUR job to help these streams, and our beloved wild bows'.Instead of beating up a dead horse lets try and educate those who may not know any other way.As far as joining an "organization",we dont have too, just agree to dissagree.
  10. Been on Catherine since the 70's....As far as fishing goes, its not what it used to be.However , when the state bulldozes thousands of fry up onto the band in the name of "flood control" Id say that that most likely was a bigger problem than a few slobs killing more than they can use.Want the the fish back in the creek?Get the state to put some smelt back into seneca, and follow canadas lead with sanctuarys.
