Channel looked good, slow on the way out and was at least 4 FOW down the center. -
Good morning on a beautiful day. Started in 25 FOW this time and had our first king on before set up on a deep diver blue back orange belly bait which as the hot one for the morning off planer boards. Riggers with with spoons firing too with yellow and orange color. Lost a bunch of fish when we were not retying and cutting off a couple of feet of line after a fish, also using 10LB test brown trout rods which where a riot with a king but under gunned. Browns mixed in were all quality and in the 10LB range. Kings all mature and good health. Fished top half of water column mainly around 10 foot down. Good luck if you can get out!

Did some nice browns in tight on both spoons and stick baits 15 FOW. Move out a little to 25 FOW and had a flurry of king action in a pocket of water. Hot colors seemed to be yellow and orange with the exception of a wonder bread spoon . Great seeing kings in skinny water!

Around 100 FOW great screen with a high temp break around 30 feet. Best depth for riggers was around 50 and 40 down, all spoon bite. 8 kings netted with at least that many lost, a lot of no one home nock off's with a couple of teens and most small, no matures so lots of action. Lots of grass to deal with so needed to keep clearing lines. Fishing is picking up. Anything green/chartreuse for the spoons. Shout out to the jigging fisherman who was kind enough to give us some tips at the ramp, still trying to do our first king on a jig.

Wanted to try jigging and bought the baits for it. Marked lots fish and bait pods around 105FOW both lakers on the bottom and suspended. Could see fish following baits but nobody wanted to play. Was using the drop to bottom and reel to surface technique. New to jigging so not sure if right way to do. 3/4 oz jig heads white and yellow with primarily white paddle tails and also 3oz vertical jigging spoons of numerous colors, whites, greens, mixed.... Switched to trolling around 9:30 and had 2 majors on with crack off's in 140 FOW West troll 70 and 80 feet down on lead core center planer and a white and hammer fly spin doctor (thanks Yankee Trollers!) on rigger at 80 feet. Lead core was with a F/N mag spoon. Also had a spoon hit green spot NK with black spot back at 70 down over same water. Was hoping could figure out the jigging but was encouraged the king bite is picking up!

Headed East to Wester pier from shallow and out to 40 FOW with only one nice brown down 22 over 30 with surface temp 41 gin clear water on a bright NK spoon . Went West of bay and found warmer and colored water finallly and started doing a mixed bag of kings, coho and browns in 15 to 20 FOW. Best bait was a bright yellow, pink, silver NK and bright yellow stick bait. Next time doing a little more scouting before setting up in cold clear water.....

Fishing is great so get out if you can! Marking lots of fish at 70 and 95 down where had the riggers between 120 and 140 FOW. Spoon bite with Carbon 14 being the hot bait along with NBK. Thanks for all of the posts.

Slow morning, set up around 100 FOW and went out to 250 and were not marking bait with only an occasional fish. Picked up and set up again in 300 FOW and trolled out to 400 with basically a blank screen. Had a double coming back in at 300 FOW 86 down on the riggers with a NBK and Ghost spoon. Landed the smaller fish but the major made a 300 foot run and got wrapped in the diver wire rod and lost it. Hit that waypoint again 4 more times but that was it. Beautiful morning, always nice to get out with friends, good luck!

Tough with the waves/wind with a hard East wind coming in around 9AM but found 20 FOW to be best with baits near the bottom (so much for the forecast). Some nice browns with a couple of kings we did not boat. One off a deep diver larger fire tiger that was probably running 15 feet down over 23 FOW that cracked off the planer boards which was pretty cool and one off a spoon right off the bottom in 21 FOW that ran out 200 feet then doubled back towards the boat and shook off the lure. Tried Bodine sea sickness pill for the first time and was amazed, worked great and no side affects. Going to buy a bunch of those...

Headed West out of Sandy and worked 15 FOW. Lots of browns, one decent. One mature king in the boat off the planer and one cracked off downrigger. Would have done much better if we were setting the downrigger releases lighter. Used to setting up for deep water with heavier line and salmon rods versus lighter line and shallow. Every time the bite shut down sure enough we were dragging a small brown off the rigger and we were taking too long to check. You would think you would not be making rookie moves like that after so many years..... These are the baits that did the kings. Browns were hitting everything we had out but mainly natural and purple.
