  1. Putting a 12v minnkota powerdrive on my pontoon boat.Don’t want to hook it up to main motor and really to want carry the battery home while pontoon is left at the dock. Thinking of hooking solar charger up. My question is what system would I need ? Not my main fishing boat so it will have time to recharge. Thanks Tim
  2. Once my motorized bracket was mounted and working I never looked back. But your motor is probably almost half the weight.I'd stick with the one you have and save money for some new rods and reels. Good luck.
  3. I bought an electric hydraulic bracket for my Islander rated for a 35 hp. Put a 15 hp 4 stroke on never had any problems trailering. It does however look a lot stronger than yours.

  7. Trying to find a BLR preferably new or almost new in 7mm-08 second choice 30-06. Been looking for quite awhile with no luck. Thanks Tim
  8. Besides Primal, anybody know any ladder stands with jaws under the seat that locks on a tree so you can climb safely and attach a strap.
  9. Had a 24’ fiberglass fished out of Gloucester bringing it home in fall 65 mph 1 of the tires blew. Scared the hell out of me. That’s the main reason for a tandem axle. Makes me more at ease. And I didn’t know trailer registration were different in other states. thank you for the info. Tim
  10. Got it,bought my islander in Massachusetts had all kinds of problems till I researched it and found out it was originally a boat on Cayuga. No problem after that.
  11. Been looking for a tandem axle trailer for my 19 foot Islander . Want to be a little safer on the highway than a single axle. Why do most of the trailers I find online say no paperwork. Don’t really want to spend 6000 on a new trailer.

    Board releases

I’ve tried different pad releases can’t find one light enough for small walleyes. I’ll try metal dog snap, and leaving the rubber bands in the sun. Any other ideas feel free let me know. Thanks

  19. Looking to put a new graph with Minn Kota Ultrex with I pilot link on my Islander. Mainly for jigging for Walleye and perch and following contours of a sunken river in a reservoir near me.Doesn’t have to be Minn Kota any recommendations? 24. Long way to go for a deal on a boat how about some feelings from other members. My son wants to go look at it
  25. One more and I’ll quit ****ing! While camping at a local campsite with my wife we were lucky enough to get the campsite right directly across the boat launch. Some of the things you see these people do it was totally amazing And frightening. Also where we were was right at the 5 mile an hour speed limit and no wake zone bouy. We watched people coming in from the lake , out of seven days at the campsite I saw three people that actually obeyed the bouy out of probably 50 or 60 boats One guy actually came in with a tri-Toon pulling a kid on a tube at planning speed right past the 5 mile an hour speed limit. Like my son says you can’t fix stupid.
