I've been running scotty releases since about 1994 and haven't experienced any line damage from the release. Mono on the rigger rods but I run 65 lb braid for backer on my copper rods and clamp on the braid with scotty releases off the big boards and no damage.
X2 on the Scottys

You got some beauties there Ken. Good luck with the sales

I heard about the evening releases. 5PM will help, but still gives those birds time to feed. I stocked up on bottle rockets in PA recently and will be ready for them.
-
The fish were hungry and feisty at the 4PM feeding yesterday. Good to see them putting a little weight on. 7 more days and they get paroled
-
Some good flocks of them in I-Bay also. Not good news for the browns with the direct stocking coming up

Nice work in sh;;ty weather. And nice job backing into the slip with that wind. 😋

X2. Lifetime on the motors only.
I don’t believe that’s true. According to Scottys warranty, ONLY the digital counters have a limited warranty for two years. Downrigger cable and terminations of course are not covered.
I took this pic at a fort in St. Augustine FL. Couldn’t resist

You should also consider the lifetime warranty on Scottys.

Maybe ,just maybe you can talk Allison ,Bills daughter, at Mayers Marina into this. I suspect that she will decline but you never know.
I don’t see that happening, although it would be convenient.
If Monroe Co. would promote our fantastic fishery more, maybe that would inspire another tackle shop or two to open and become a weigh station. Other than Mitchels in Charlotte, which used to be a weigh station before the Port Marina on the river got it, where can Monroe Co. fisherman buy tackle? Rt. 18 tackle is 35 mi. west, and Sodus Pt. Is the same from I-Bay. Sportsman’s Warehouse doesn’t make it IMO.
Bottom line, one weigh station in Monroe Co. that is only open 10-4 is a joke.

Where did you find these? I cannot locate their site online.

Try the Dreamweaver site online. They have a Green Goby in a 28 size and they used to have super slim also.

It seems like NY can’t wait to be a California clone with banning hunting contests and slave reparation legislation. Fishing tourneys are next. We’re looking to get out of NY also.

Still available. Good Christmas present

He easily could have just offered them to another fisherman using that parking lot. We give salmon away all the time

Highly recommend knee replacement surgery if you’re in pain. I had left knee done in 2009 and right in 2011. Have had zero issues since. Just turned 70 last month. As everyone has said, the success lies in the rehab. Being in good shape before the surgery also helps greatly with the PT.
Good luck

I hear you. Wading in that cannot be fun. And how about the smell after they ferment for a week. 🤮

On Irondequoit Bay in the spring, there is a large die-off of the gizzard shad every couple of years. Hundreds line the shoreline ranging from 1-3 lbs. The winged rats love it.
30ft. 30A shore power cord. $30
