Hi Guys i am new to perch fishing, I Have always fished for pike with tip ups,But I am going to Buy some tip Downs and a Jigging Rod For Perch,Can you tell me how to fish with tip downs? What size and How Much Line would you Reccomend? is it Best to Keep the Tip Downs real Close to you unlike Tip downs for pike where you can Spread them out? What do you use for Hooks on tip downs,I Heard some guys put a Jig and Minnow on them?Is that a Good Choice?How Deep Usually should you fish?Any Help would be Appreciated! Thanks.

Bosco,Actually I just Read your Post again,You said East Lake Road,We were on the West side that's why we didn't see the sign,But we could see all the Guys from where we were fishing(Mid Lake) But they all Appeared to Be on West side of the Lake,Maybe it Just looks like that from Mid Lake(Optical Illusion).

Hi Tim, Thank you for taking the time to Reply with some much needed tips, That's Really nice of you,a lot of guys don't want to be Bothered giving strangers some fishing tips.The way i look at it is it is,fishing is suppose to be a Pleasurable Experience,and if I can give someone a Tip so that can Enjoy themselves then I am going to that! Do you just fish Sodus or do you try Different Places? It says you live on Port Bay,How is the ice fishing on Port Bay?I went to Honeyoye yesterday,Caught one 9' perch,one 12' Largemouth,My Buddy caught a Big Pickerel and that was it.
