There must be enough walleye in there if they could have destroyed a whole salmon fishery that was pretty good
-
I sure hope they a going back in millions of little pieces

Anyone having any luck catching rainbows on Cayuga or Seneca lately & if so lets see some of your pictures

All these Finger Lakes have these monster Lakers you just have to be lucky & get a bait in front of them beautiful fish
-
I would try trolling a erie dearie with a worm if they are around you should be able to catch them or try trolling a small stickbait as the bait is small here in this lake hope this helps
-
Hope that Lamprey went back in many small pieces

it is done on large server farms. In the case of seneca they bought an old power plant and refurbed and restarted it that power is than used fully for an onsite server farm that does the bit coin mining. The concern is that the power plant discharges warm water into the outlet near the mouth.
It does create a handful of local jobs to keep the plant running and does provide some property tax base for the county but the warm water is a form of polution. its a natrual gas plant and they did refurbish it to be very efficent and clean but there are still CO2 emissions.
this is not as cut and dry of an issue as it might seem on the surface. There is both positive and negative associated with it. the discharge is by the mouth so it would not affect most of the spawning area depending on the species but the warm water could prevent fish from entering the stream in the first place. the list of Pros and Cons gets considerably longer on this. It is worthwhile to research on this one and form your opinion it could be an idicator of the overal direction of the state with regards to outdoor activities vs comercial activities.
If they want to operate then they must drop the water temperature that is discharged back to a normal level

My hats off to you as well. Great job with your results. First time on this lake for you, I’m thinking you will be on top next year. Hope the mechanical piece worked out ok. Always sucks to have boat issues during the most important time.
That is why we call it fishing & not catching great job anyway

you guys certainly deserved every fish you got. You put in the time as parts of those days were rough! I think Saturday was the roughest I have fished in a long long time. I am sure Saturday when those charters saw my little rec boat head out at 530am into those waves they questioned our sanity!!! Pounding back to Wilson thru 5’ waves from olcott made me question it also. We were safe just used a lot of gas!
For us we found no good consistent patterns but did end up with 3 fish in the 13-14# range. Friday black and purple spoons took our kings in 250fow then Saturday it was black and orange in the same water as you. Baby kings came on everything….. FF and spoons all colors! Cohos had no pattern except for the top 20’ of water. Had one hit as I was setting the rigger release!
Thanks for sharing info on the water!
Tim
Its so nice when the young lady gets to fight a fish too

Made the 2.5 hour trip up solo this morning because it’s getting harder and harder to find anyone to get up at 2:30 to go fishing. Anyway, on the water by 5:30. Set up in 20’ and had a hit while putting in first rod. Then fished towards the point from 10-30’ and had blank screens. Moved out to 40-50’ and went 3 for 3 on browns down 25’. All on same purple clown spoon. Pulled out about 11:00. Stopped by Whitney point reservoir on way home for a couple hours and landed 11 small walleye. Long day with lots of driving but hey it was worth it.
Cody would fish with you anytime
