    The cutlass bearing is a rubber bearing installed in the strut where the drive shaft is stabilized. The bearing is stationary and water acts as lubrication for the shaft.     I have a t4. I made mine wireless using a winch control. No need for someone else to drive. I drive anywhere anytime. Fishing solo or with guests. I clip the remote on my pocket and forget about it. I currently have a t4 on my 20hp Honda. Works great. Used one on my 9.9 for almost five years. Great unit.     Heck a cold spark can cause that. Time for basic tune up first. I would check my cap and rotor. The caps like to grow during the winter! Lol. Had same issue on friends boat. Basic tune up fixed it. Good luck Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    You missed the point, as a seasonal boater, it's a great view and easy accessibility to the lake.. If you're saying the boaters treat it like it's their property? Maybe you're fishing too close to their boat, not sure. It does say no fishing in the marina, but if they are hollering at youbfor fishing the lake side, just ignore em. I always did.
