No golf here. Haven't seen a course. Going offshore for marlin on Tuesday steelydan. The shore fishing is a rush. A local told me it was a jack. Either way, on a six foot ros it was a blast. Tons of other fish kicking around. Hoping to grab a something bigger by weeks end. I didn't bring enough lures. I figured out what they want but I'm getting low. Break offs lol. Hoping to get into snook and reds Wednesday test my luck. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Any recent lake trout reports?
lakebound88 replied to Upstate Extremes Outdoors's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
I'll assume the lack of comments already may be due to people sleeping or lack of posts. Guys on here can be picky. Gotta earn the keeps! Welcome to LoU. Great bunch of guys here. As you'll learn in time, I'm a seneca guy. Can't give you much info on other lakes. I do know currently Lakers are being hit out of the west side state launch+severene. Occasional silver mixed in Watkins Glen always has hit or miss days this time of year until late spring. Flat line and short cores/coppers work really well. Look for the one degree in temp change in these locations and you will get some. Good luck. If you ever want a little extra info, just PM someone. Good luck! Time for my flight outta here! Always, always wash the slime off when you pull from water, the moment it dries it is like concrete. Pressure washer will pull the growth, but the brown will stay. As stated above, barrier coat and anti fouling paint is worth every penny to save from blistering and growth. Good luck. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Thanks Vince. It's got the four blade. I know my old yami helped a lot and saved on the wallet. I'm excited to add this to my boat this year. I got a great deal on it. Had to go on a nice trip but hope she was worth it. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Easy way to find true depth, is tie light leader and head for skinnier water. I did this with divers and coppers to prove depth. Remember. Speeds, currents, lures all change how deep we can get. Not just our line presentation. BTW, Mike your twenty color sucks. I hate winding that in Lol. That day on Cayuga killed me. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Run all 14. For some reason those long cores will outfish the coppers Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Is there anyone fishing with a Honda 20hp power thrust? Looking for feedback as to how much fuel you burn and what kind of rpm range youre running to troll. I have recently acquired one and am eager to learn what I have to look forward to with this motor. Thanks in advance. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Went through Ithaca the other day, water was up the week before and down again. Amazing how fast it changes. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Good. I hope and assume insurance is working hard to get him where he needs to be. A tragic loss, but homes can be rebuilt! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Is he planning on getting out this spring for trips? If so I'd feel even better about maybe putting a couple rods back on his boat.... Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Hey shuttle, heads up, not everyone sends the "PM sent", especially when there is a direct phone number. Don't be so upset. I've sold stuff to guys who personally call me and never comment. First form of contact made to me always wins. This isn't eBay. Sorry but tough luck. Get em next time Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Sorry for not explaining myself above. As said by others, electronic is nice. Every system has its ups and downs. What makes the difference is being mechanically inclined to do some of your own work. Rebuilding your engine, I'll assume you are. Now what Rick said, the crazy yank, I personally have had ac delco and Mallory. Mallory units are good if you get the right parts, its a YLM24 part number I believe but don't quote me. You MUST make sure you run Mallory ignition coil, if you don't, it will fry it. Now my current boat I have the ac/delco and they are great. No issues and a simple task to service the unit. Nice hot spark every time. Service kits are easier to come by, as most Mallory parts come from summit... Shipping delays. Good luck with your project. It's fun knowing what you put into it and when it pays off. Vroom vroom.
