SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Outstanding fishing at the bar. Worked Olcott sat, did 4 kings and spent the next 4 days outside the red can. many, many mature kings. Very clean fish with a noticeable absence of lampreys or lamprey scars. Good to see!!!! Fleas were not bad at all for this time of year. All major kings were taken by spinnys and flies. Froggy spinny and hammer fly way out-produced the rest with mountain dew a second best. Other notables were wonderbread and 42 second. No kings were taken on spoons , but to be fair , we were doing well with the gear we had down, we did not run spoons too much. Another hot set-up was a cheater in the 25-30ft. range with a black and purple spoon with gold belly for steel. Great time although sometimes unbearably hot!!! (no cover on my boat).Fishing did slow down for us on wed. after the northeast blow.Go get um it is the best I can remember in my 25+ years on the lake!!!!!
