  1. Will be up Thursday night - Sunday. Will post what I find. Hoping fishing improves, it has been a miserable season for kings for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Just boated first king in two days on the water. 18lb. Down 110 over 250. Green flasher and meat. Very slow again today! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Fished 180-280 off plant. 0/2, 325 dipsy took a shot and 103 rigger, both F/F. Very slow morning. Marks down 100, but few and far between. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Very slow morning. Fished 120’ - 240’ from Catfish Creek to Plant tower. 5:30- 11:00 and did not have a release! Had marks early but few and far between as day went on. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Very little fleas in Mexico Bay. Only picked up a few on light tackle, no fleas on heavier line or wire yet. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Nice box! Hoping the South wind returns some of the cold water nearshore. Had ice cold water last Friday and Saturday and then lost it with the North wind Saturday afternoon and evening. Temps went from 42 degrees 60 down in 100fow to 60 degrees from top to bottom on Sunday, and the fish disappeared. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Fished Friday and Saturday and got shutout both days. Fish were in 160-200fow down 150-160. With the waves, winds and currents it was very difficult to find correct depth. At one point I had 200 feet of cable out to try and reach 150. That was with 12lb torpedos! Very difficult fishing for this time of year. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Out right now. Came out after storms pushed through. Battling 3-4fters. Temp is 69 degrees from top to bottom in 110fow! Not good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. My 11 year old got her first major king Sunday. 27lber caught on rigger. She managed to land it with minimal help from me.... a few times I helped hold the rod up but I never touched the reel! Made it real interesting when I missed with the net and it took off under the boat. Amazingly it was still on once I got the boat straightened out! 10. Seems to me that many fish are quick to come to the surface this year. Many that I have landed and lost seemed to surface. Sometimes it is very hard to keep the line tight when you have 300+ feet of line out and the fish surfaces or even jumps! Makes for an interesting hookup though. Anyone else experiencing this? 11. Got shutout this morning. Fished from 5:45-10:00 in 140-280 fow. Did not mark much at all. Has to get better! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. North winds pushed iced cold water into the bay. I had 42 degree water from 40 ft clear to the bottom from 90fow out to 300fow. Managed to boat two small kings in the 40-50 ft range, both on spoons. Slow fishing in the ice cold or water. Hope you have better luck! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Went 1/1 this morning with a nice steelhead, caught and released. Down 65 in 95fow. Purple and lime mag spoon. No kings but plenty of marks in 90-120. Nice temps as well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Rich D, thanks for the posts. I appreciate the info. Glad to see someone is catching some kings. Super frustrating for the rest of us though! It's been many long trips with no fish and blank screens.... Thus the frustration.
  15. Yikes! Not sure the fuel tank is big enough to make it there and back!
  16. What water column then? I'm out now getting beat up in 130fow.
  17. Fished for 7 hours over the last two days and didn't move a rod!
  18. Spent over 10 hours in the water this weekend with two super patient teenage girls. All we had was one skippy king the entire trip! Cold water all over the bay but very few marks. Fished 80-220 fow. Best marks were in the 130 range in front of the plant. Has to get better!
  19. 1 foot or less this afternoon turned into white caps out of the North and 3-5 footers!
  20. Totally agree that the Salmon fishing in Mexico Bay has been declining for the last 3 seasons. Very frustrating to have time and money invested in it and see most fish caught West of Oswego. Seems like as soon as I saved up enough to have a permanent camp and a slip the fishing shut down.
  21. That is quite a day! Killer musky.... looks enormous.
  22. Nice report. Looks like lake is starting to setup. Sounds encouraging.
  23. Fished Sat and Sunday a.m. Managed one small King. NBK spoon down 80 over 120 fow. Very slow. Browns nonexistent. Hoping lake sets up for July. Seems like lake trout are the only ticket in town at this point.
  24. Just saw this. Sad news as prices were always fair and selection was great. Not to mention free advice and weather updates.
