Good price on these guys

I used a GoPro 2, just on the basic 720p setting. I picked up a few more SD cards so I think I'm going to go up to 1080p this year. I had a bunch of hits on the ST dipsey, but there always seemed to be someone in the way or couldn't see it too well. I'll try different camera positions this spring.

Picked up a GoPro late last year so didn't have it for many trips.  Hopefully this will help a few of us through the rest of this crappy winter.

I was observing the ProAm last year, and the team I was observing for suggested I talk a little banana on their buddies boat I was gunna be on.  So the next morning when the fishing got slow and they were working on finding a good program, I grabbed my bag, reached in, looked at the capt. and asked if he was hungry and wanted a banana.  I'll never forget the look he gave me.  I thought for sure I was going overboard.  As soon as he and his crew calmed down a bit, I had to spill the beans on the whole deal.  So I'm pretty sure they believe in the 'no bananas on board.'

I also have a buddy that won't wear Fruit of the Loom anything.  Even though there isn't a banana shown, he still doesn't want to risk there being on behind all the fruit.

We did great off riggers last year, mostly pulling harnesses.  Cores/coppers were also good.  Dipseys were hit and miss for us.  We may have to go with longer leads.  You're probably going to want to troll slower than 2mph when dragging harnesses, but if you want to go with a dipsey/rigger program, don't be afraid to get up to 3mph pulling sticks.  This CAN be effective when the water warms up (73+).  Don't be afraid to use coppers over cores either.  out 150 and 200' were on fire last year.  Did better on those than most of our cores combined.

This is my under fifteen dollar setup walmart plastic tote with 7/8" Styrofoam sheet cut a 1/4" higher than inside box dimension. Holds spoons nicely

We do the same for our walleye harnesses.  Works great.

If you are not popping the first rod down in the morning you need to rethink your methods. Run till you mark bait turn your boat troll right back thru the bait with your best lure at the depth of the bait. Set a dipsy next stop it at 110'. Then continue with the other two riggers, next one in to temp 50-54 the other 10' above, when your done netting fish try to get the lines back out ASAP and do it quicker so you can get the 2nd dipsy and copper in, get half your box by 7:30 then search out the hogs later in the day!

Pace yourself just right and you'll finish cleaning fish in 75 fow right in front of port at 1:30.

Gill-T, when you say 'above' the Peace Bridge, I assume you are talking about the river, rather than the lake side?

Been using Seaguar for the last 3-4 years and have yet to have a problem.

If we were only able to get a Bass Pro too.....

we're you able to use your old mag 10 bases?  If not, is the bolt pattern of your new cannons the same as the old mag 10s?

I've only used Bloodrun, so kind of partial I guess. 

On a side note, I had an issue with their wire last year and talked too the Bloodrun guys at LOTSA about it.  They showed me to to fix the problem, and handed me a new spool of 30# wire to replace the old one.  Getting hard to find that kind of customer service nowadays.  Will def be back to ge tmore of their products.

Slippery Sinker in Olcott has copper setups.  I'm sure he can set up whatever size you need.  In a pinch, I think Dick's and Gander Mtn have pre rigged setups (300' I believe).

That's why we head on over to lake Erie.

I"m by no means 'a hell of a good walleye fisherman'.  Just learning as I go

I set it as if a fish were pulling in it. Again, I use it as a starting point. We drop the balls, load the rods how we want them and adjust accordingly. We'll pull the Ross ayer about 20 min to set if we are dragging anything. If we are, turn em back a bit. If not leave em til we get a hit and see what happens.

For walleye fishing, we use a scale to set them at about 2-2.5# (typically use 12# mono). For lake O, we usually start around 5# and adjust from there.  Also depends how deep we fish and what we are pulling.
