  1. Recently got booted out of LOU forums on Tapatalk.  I have reset my password etc and can obviously post under my username as I am now but only from the website.  Tapatalk will not let me login using this same password.

anyone else having issues or any tips?

Tapatalk works fine for walleye central and Quinte fishing

  2. Well thanks to Billy it’s assembled.
Won’t put it outside till the cover arrives.
Whole new world of outdoor cooking.
Looking forward to exploring the possibilities. IMG_1931.thumb.JPG.d978f8b42cfb64d3f3eaee86eb34b24f.JPG

Love my Traeger. Big time possibilities. We make all types of meat and desserts. Have done apple pie, cheesecake, brownies, apple crisp and cookies on mine.

  3. I'd consider this if I could wrap my head around how I'd hook it up to my 9.9 yohatsu kicker. My kicker has a bar to my main motor. Not sure if that would be a hangup. Is it a stand alone autopilot or do I need a head unit that's compatible. I'm gunna spend some time googling this unit tonight. Ty

Take the bar off the kicker. Tr-1 is stand alone. Unless you use your big motor to troll.

  4. We heard the call on the vhf in kingston Ontario but way too far to make it obviously. Very glad to hear the story ended positively.

We do a lot of night fishing and it’s always a thought that you just never know what could be in the water just below the surface.

We do always wear Inflatables when aboard the boat though. I’ve taught my kids the same and my friends aren’t allowed on if they don’t wear it. Just not worth it for how inabtrusive they are.

Hey folks. I picked these up today at Fat Nancy’s, I know you can troll them behind cowbells or gang trolls but I’m curious if it’s required or not? Anyone run them clean?

Also what speed would you run them for early spring shallow lakers? Usually I’d aim for 2-2.2mph on the gps.

Also grabbed some mag 4.5’s from Yakima to try this year.

    The itch is real!

  6. Another option to get different depths from a lead core rod is to use a shorter length of lead core- 3 or 5 colors are both good choices- then use snap weights or dive bombs to achieve different depths.  This option has a couple advantages over putting 10 colors on a reel and letting out less of the lead core to achieve shallower depths.  First a short core can go on a smaller reel than a 10 color.  Second you will have all the lead in water getting you away from the sag/drag of lead core from board to rod and the added wear on the lead core.  Mono backer or braid is a better choice in that rod to board connection than lead core.  The only thing you need to store on boat is a small box of snap weights and some releases or rubber bands.  Many times there are different ways to get the result you want.

This is something I’ve wanted to experiment with but hard to guess depths. How do you guage what depths you’re achieving ? Say 5 colour then a 2oz?

  7. How many fish were tagged? Were they tracked by the receiver network or by the pop off trackers?

I've never heard of one being caught in the bay of quinte and that's where the map shows the highest concentration of fish.

Loads of lakers in adolphus reach all year round. In sept they come in shallow from the lake. Awesome fishing in December when the season opens again. (season closes for spawn at end of sept)
