Once you start arresting people word gets out. If I catch people on my land Dec I'd called then local police . They dont pay the taxes. Dead this morning. Not Much shooting

Except this year. They r running late and does now comming in heat. The next week should be good if you have the hot doe in your area.

Did a quick hunt tonight to finally see a hot doe. Followed by a 4 pt then couple minutes later another 6ft. Then few more minutes. The buck iv seen but couldn't shoot. A nice 8. Was at full draw and had to stop him. He was moving. Guess what. He stopped dead looked straight up and went back. All this happened within 15 minutes of daylight. This weekend we be interesting. Iv never seen 3 bucks follow a doe.

Jake I hunt Orleans co. Wind swirls a lot on my property. That being said. Guys I dont want to possibly anybody off but. Everything this yr has been late fishing leaves and now deer. I just started hunting this weekend for that reason. Yes you are going to see some people get bid deer. You can go by the moon and everything else. The rut is late this year. For the past10 yrs within 500yards of my land we have had 1or 2 large bucks on the ground. These r deer over 125 and up to 160. They are usually shot within a couple of day around Halloween. Of the surrounding land that is being hunted.600+ acres. Mine is only20. Having talked with neighbors this weekend nobody has seen a shooter. Warm weather extra scent in woods doesn't help eather. Its Nice to see what everybody is seeing. Hopefully this weekend gets a bit more exciting. Guys gals and kids happy hunting this weekend and be safe.

Forget right on. I hunt Orleans co. We have 140- 160. That are taken every year. When you hear these deer fight It is much louder then you can rattle yourself. Start soft then aggressive. Also the size of antlers make a difference. I use a pair of 120. A lot can be said on this subject. Happy hunting guys. Later this week is going to get great.

I love rattling. Especially now. Your grunt tube and rattling shoild ne mixed up a bit. Early morning better luck.but be careful they can show up where you dont expect. Iv been busted a few times.
