  1. Great job Ed. I finely got my first laker on my boat with rigger, yesterday. Maybe there is hope for me with the down rigger fishin. To bad my dad told me what lure n speed to use. We got his boat on the water wendsday. I cant wait for the fall meet.
  2. Thanks Ed . I will be working up by dads for awhile. That means I will be on skinny alot. Hope to do more then just wash lures.
  3. Ed did you do any thing good on the water this week end
  4. Light or dark brown sugar Ed
  5. Thats the thing. I can get every thing on a jig. Flat line is ok but man the rigger thing sure skunks me. And for some reason i am sleeping and eating trolling.
  6. Thats my neck of the woods. The free launch is not realy free. Its the Scott park and its an honor fee. And I have launched a 22 footer there many times and do so every weekend with a 19. As for the canal its fine motor in 3 feet of water all the way to the point. IF you trim the motor, its better then the hotel launch. My dad beat the hell out of his prop there last year cause he didnt know how the canal was and went to the hotel.
  7. I have been out a few times. Still working the bugs out of it. Funny thing I use to hate trolling as you know. But I have been doing it every time I go out. I end up just washing lures all day. Then I go back to my jiggin ways so I can eat . The boat was running good, if you want to call a top speed of 28 mph for a 90 horse good. It would start and troll fine idle all day. I ran it out of fuel then it went down hill from there. lines started cracking, floats sticking, and bottoms leaking. You know how it goes Ed, but what do you want for 2 grand fully rigged minus down speed.
  8. Good job ED. Looks like your luck is getting better. Knowing you I cant believe you would let a nice fish revive and just swim away. I can not wait to get out on seneca this year. Hope you and my Dad can get me on the right track with this trolling. Still have not got a fish on the riggers with my new boat.
  9. Man Ed that stinks. My shake down with my new to me boat was only a little better. My fish finder was set alittle far ahead. It was was about 12 feet off. Almost lost one of the old mans riggers. Two more bolts it and a new line counter would have been gone. Oh it was a good thing I didn't steal his fish hawk yet. FORGOT GOT TO SET CLUTCH, lost ball and release. Dave
