I can honestly say I look forward to BFF as much as the derby itself every year.... Nick you've done a great job with that little side betIdk what well do with BFF. The BFF was just started BC of LoU and our obsession with fishing..
. If Watkins took it over, it would still survive and what not. I know I'll do what I can to help. Also, I know what it's like trying to get help for an event. The seneca shootout was tough but I managed. Someday that will be back.

.. I honestly enjoy just being around everyone who shares the same fishing passion as I do for one whole weekend a year even if I don't bring home a prize or trophy.. It would be ashame if this tournament ever ended and I too would definitely be willing to help out any way I could.. Seneca Lake may not be one of the Great Lakes but it's a Great Lake to me....

What I've heard is that they have been struggling to organize the event and many that have been on the board have passed away and finding other volunteers has been tough and even finding a place that would let them use there facilities for there monthly meeting has been tough too.. I believe right now they are using a local church to hold there meetings... I have heard thru the grapevine that Watkins Chamber of Commerce has shown some interest in taking over the event if things get to tough for them in Geneva. .Darkwater. You talking about the derby itself? I heard that too.

Let the countdown begin!!! Remember guys staying at Sampson, docks go on sale this Friday morning.. Also, rumor has it the concession stand now will be a bar/beer hot spot.
Can't wait!! It will be my first time staying at Sampson for the derby and looking forward to hanging out with everyone in the evening. .

I heard it mentioned as a possibility in the next year or so but I don't belive it is this year yet...I keep hearing it's going to be run out of Watkins this year any truth to that?

Started tying up some lake flies this winter and it became very addicting so I decided to tie up some flies in different ways and I think I have finally found a way that works well for me just wanted to share some of these flys with my fellow finger lakes guys and see what you guys thought about them... Let me know if you see any trout and salmon catching machines.. lol

What time does it end? Would lime to make it down to register for FLTA but do to the birth of my new son and being held in the hospital til Saturday or sunday I'm not sure what time I could make it down on sunday so just checking
If you're interested in signing up for the club and you can't make the flea market then just PM me your email address and I will send an application to you and new updated 2016 rules.. Just fill out the application and mail it to the address on the application.. Once the application has been received in the mail it will be brought to the next club meeting and you'll be voted into the club..

Great news here (link below)... Love to see as many as can spawn and make it back before April 1st... Looks like we need another lampricide tho.. Two weeks ago we caught 10 landlocks 8 out of the 10 had juvenile lampreys attached and some multiple that was not good to see... Chopped up all the lampreys and returned all the fish to the lake to be caught another day.

OKUMA CLARION CLR 553ls high speed reel... You could also use a Shimano Tekota 800.. it's not something I run on a normal basis but if I'm working Deep fish and they're being finicky I will run that outWhat size reel do you use for 20 color?

I think it has to do with how far away from the boat it is more than anything and yes it will go deeper..

Remember the time they did that to us on Ontario and called us all on the radio and asked if we'd mine them practicing around us. . I'm pretty sure you were with me that day.. It was pretty coolWe had it done near us one time. They had a pretty large sonar or radar dome attached to the underside, rising to about hundred feet and dropping extremely fast to the water level repeatedly....
