Come on over to keuka waters awesome we been fishing on the h-port end and we cant keep the lines in the water absolute murder on lakers but just like everyone says all 3lb lakers. in one hour last weekend me and a friend went 15 for 16

So i am looking for advice on what to use how to troll and if its any different than fishing in the summer i am thinking about heading over to seneca lake for a morning

I havent been able to put the crosshairs on anything decent this year. I honestly dont know why. I have creeks great cover cut corn fields half cut corn fields and standing corn fields. Golden rod field , apple orchards pines. and no deer i dont understand it one bit. now its Smokepole season and nothing feeding i really do not understand it. I did how ever have an 8 point and a 14 point poached off my land. (yeah it made me furious when the 14 point fell as i was drawing back my bow ) IS it possible for it to just not be my year. I am confused i have taken atleast one nice shooter every year until this year. I guess its not over until the fat lady sings but i hear her warming up. I have however had the joy of setting my best friend up on another property on a 125 in 9 point with a 21 in inside spread for a first buck , and m father on his first 120 in 8 point 19 in inside spread , Maybe i should just be happy with that any advice?

I live in ny and i would give myself credit on being a good deer hunter in the past.... so i just started hunting this property with all the essentials for good deer well here is my problem we bow hunted it all year so far and seen deer someday and none other days well now for the last week i have drawn a blank no deer i dont know why i mean we have 4 large cornfields and a swamp so its rut here but im seeing nothing no buck no doe and no big tracks all the tracks i see seem fresh but i dont move i use scent control i have tried sitting quietly with no call i have bleated rattled and grunted but nothing no deer at all i dont know why i and not even seeing any rut signs or even deer beds can someone please help me im so upset with myself i dont know if i pressured them off the land or what but we never still hunt push it or anything idk why i cant seem to locate deer i have even went spot lighting and seen nothing should i be worried its a 150 acres and has corn and apples a few oaks and creeks and swamps and we even have about 10 acres of thick area we never go in or anything its all set aside for a deer safe zone i mean we hunted the edges but still nothing can someone please help me ps i have even tried hunting in different spots and i am wondering is it true they will bed in cornfields and could i just be not seeing anything because of the warmer weather but even cool days i see nothing

Congrats on the deer and thank you for taking a youngster hunting thats my favorite i love hear that is so hard to take when you hear a hunter say that they dont take thier children hunting my dad took me hunting when i was reall young and theose memories became my favorite and wanted to say sorry for the loss let peace be with you and all of Chuck's friends and family god bless

thats kinda what i figure i do know the difference between turkey and deer but you can see the antler marks and deer tracks in the scrapes and i havent really found any rub line on my property just random scrapes and i hunted over them and nothing im getting upset but im sure ill find something soon this is the first year of my lease and the people slaughtered the deer the last couple years so were trying to straighten it out wish me luck thanks for the help

thank you tcon sorry i misspelled words everyone i was in a hurry all im trying to say is boycot the launch until the guy untill the guy uses some of the money we pay to use the lauch to repair it i mean i been trying to be nice to the owner and talk to him even offered to give him fish the last comment i heard from him was "I cant't wait til fishing seasons is over so i dont have to get up so early". Just trying to have a nice place to launch our boat i would pay the money if the launch didnt beat up my boat and trailer everytime i launched and could atleast have a decent guy to deal with.

so i fish keuka lake all the time on the south end and the only place to launch is at the motle and the old man charges 10 dollars to launch i know im i pry complaining nut i would just like to ask all fellow fushers of keuka lake to use the free lauch by the switz and boycott the motel i think its rediculous how much the man charges and how rude he is to all the customers of the launch it is ran down her doesnt maintain it and you can only launch when its easiest for him 6am to 6pm i mean its a public lake and he has a monoply on the south end while treating people like crap and is very rude plus expensive i cant count how many times he has been a royal jerk to me for random things and me and the people i fish with are always polite and respectful but there is no point in being treated like that also the launch is really bad IT WILL COST AS MUCH IN GAS TO GO FROM THE SWITX DOWN TO HAMMONDSPORT AND ITS A BETTER MOTHER LAUNCH THANK YOU ALL THAT HELP

so i have been noticing numerous scrapes (deffinatly from deer) on the ground without any licking branches does anyone know what this means i never seen this before honestly

in steubem were getting alot of deer movement i called in a nice mature 8 and missed him at 25 yards (practically unheard of by me) but im also very sick this year with pinched nerves in neck and headaches i mean i shot a doe at 61 yards perfect and miss at 25 comon but i grunted him in

sorry i took so long i have been busy and lack of fishing due to deer season but i have been pounding them on spin doctors and troling flies and minnow pluggs and spoons but i also been fishing from first light i mean like half our of dark on and killing them at dusk and the plugs are red and white and the flies and sd all different colors spoons everything but speed is key (slow slower than normal like 2) and once you hit one keep in the area there will be more but now remember the sport of salmon fishing is growing so the biggest thing i have learned is that when all the other boats come over hugging you stay to the outside of them they seem to push the fish to the deep so thats where you will catch them happy hooking good luck and in like 30 fow i would frow all different depths and planer boards and dipsy work amazingsalmon are very spooky in shallow

keuka lake is me like fishing for senecas fry we need to get some lakers out how about if everyone just started being decent and keeping them or giving them away i know that everyone knows somebody who would like to eat some lakers and two pound fish are great for the table every time me and lip ripper go out we keep every laker we catch and give them away why cANT EVERYONE DO THIS atleast till we get it under controland dec hasnt stocked any ny lake since 2003

Thanks tom i didnt have alot of time fish but i wanted to get my to buddies hooked up with there first landlocks

left from watkins started at salt plant hooked up on three nice landlocks then i headed to peach orchard hooked up on 2 nice lakers all were from4 -5 pound fish boated 5 for 6 only fished 3 hours due to work fleas are starting to get bad again no weeds though all fish were in 240-300 fow marked alot of fish 20-70 ft FF green combos worked great and onl 2 on spoons
