  2. Best to go when it's calm...makes it a lot easier. Drop jigs to the bottom where U see marks and work them up, down and up from the bottom. That is the easiest way. When they R hitting (guess that IS the trick), it can be as easy as catching sunnies at the dock...Any more is just a fine tuning and tweaking of that process. Of course suitable equipment is required, particularly line type (a no-stretch product is best). Others can offer more tips and tactics, but this basic approach has worked fairly well...Remember it is deep water fishing and some of the lakers can easily surpass 10lbs. Brings laker fishing to whole new heights of appreciation with their fight....(much more fun that trolling them up)!

5 or 10lb powerpro braid, and a 10lb seaguar floro leader on a medium action bass baitcaster is a blast.

    Thanks

    Ed

For jigging its 83khz, scroll speed 8, sensitivity 17, bottom setting is structure id, rts window medium or wide

There is a crack on a plastic piece on the motor mount but this does not affect motor or its performance at all. Motor goes for 369.00 new im selling for $275.00 firm. Pics available upon request PM if interested.

  6. I wouldn't go near that place on 7/3 any year unless I was around a campfire with a beer in hand... The ring of fire is a big event and will be a zoo

True, honeoye and conesus will be swamped for the next couple days. Might be worth giving hemlock a shot

    Honeoye as well??? Gah!

Where on Hemlock? Southern end weeds?

Southern part of the lake, around the thermocline

  7. got a couple eyes, one medium length one looked healthy, little and bigger one looked undernourished? small one was shaped like a banana. Tossed em back for another day

  8. Looking to upgrade my graph on my boat to a new hbird 597ci hd so I can get gps to mark spots. I've been wondering if I should opt for the slightly smaller screened 587ci hd so I could afford to get the Navionics premium east map card. I fish honeoye, canadice, and hemlock 90% of the time which are pretty much featureless bowls. All of these maps are listed on their site but don't show up as the "hd" maps. Do you think I would benefit from a map chip or would the money be better spent elsewhere
