Well it's on the way . Finally ordered yesterday. $650 guess it's time to find out for my self . Vacation in a few weeks reservation for cabin at Tfalls state park .

Thinking about purchasing a probe . I mainly fish the finger lakes . Are the currents enough of a difference ? Does it really change your fishing that much . Lots of money for these things . Could buy a few more lures or electric riggers for that kind of money .

I keep speed at 2- 2.5 mph surface- speed .dypsy back 200 - 250 . . Riggers bounce bottom and come up a couple feet . I really did good on gambler rigs behind large cowbells .

A. Friend and me went out of Sandy yesterday . My friend hooked the first King fairly early .then we missed a few including one that took a lot of line before coming off . I got a small 12 " king .before finally getting my good one . We had pretty good action until about 9am . Trolled for several hours out too about 200 fow . Afternoon we came back in and had fun with Lakers in 70-90 fow . All the Lakers came on gambler rigs behind cowbells . Think we got 8 or 9 Lakers nothing huge . Not bad for a couple finger lake guys I guess

Glad to hear you got a few. Fleas and weeds are part of summer fishing . As far as releases I would recommend Chamberlain's or blacks . Very easy to figure out . Welcome to the addiction

Wow tree rat sound like a great 2 days.
 

Trip for tomorrow is cancelled.  Looks like I'll be coming up next Tuesday.  Probably for the best as now I can bring my fishing buddy with me.  He is a disabled vet and is a ball of fun to fish with.  Took him up to Pulaski for salmon last fall and his interactions with the russians almost had me pi$$ing my waders.  He makes fishless days fun.

Fleas were very manageable this am.Weed pods were a non issue.Fished in the Taughannock area...Zeke n Cyn

Yep I stay at sned acres .there cabins start at around $50 a night . Tent site with electric $29.
