    Hmmm. I fished off Ibay last week vs Braddocks this week and the flea concentration was 100x worse off Ibay.

    8 for 9 this morning. All fish at 52 degrees over 175 FOW. Steelhead x2 gobbled NBK and the kings chomped on Dirty White Boy. Biggest in the pic., rest were in the 8-12 pound range.

    Opinions on a DIY spoon glow box? Currently I just hit the spoon with a light in low light conditions and don’t do anything when the sun is shining.

    Super toasty out there. Fished 3-8 pm. Started 200-300 and then moved to 200. Landed in 185 to close the night. Marks were there and the bite picked up. 3 small kings on riggers NBK behind a spin doctor. 52 degree water down about 68 over 185 fow speed at ball 2.7.

    Been about six years since adding the terminator set up to my downrigger (wire to ball connector). I don’t see signs of wear but feel it is time to replace them. Sound about right?

    I did a skipper this weekend off the end of a bait mark 75 down over 140 fow: Seasick Waddler. Boats were scattered. East of the bay deep current was nasty. Struggled with blow back. Easy trolling once I got west of the bay though.

    I have been dealing with a lot more rigger releases with no fish than in past years. As I troubleshoot should I increase tension on my rigger release to ensure a tighter/longer rigger to fish connection? For example, last night I targeted lakers in 130 fow over 150 fow out of I Bay. Formula was easy as marks were plentiful. Easily had 10 rods pop and only felt 2 fish on the rod. Thoughts? Encountered a similar issue with browns but assumed my stick baits were bumping bottom.

    Laker bite was bananas 🍌! Screen was covered along a predictable grid of water which was cool. Wonderbread on rigger 130 ft over 140-160 fow took five in an hour. All fish 10# or more with the largest near 20#. Pretty sure I was not a pioneer today as I simply followed a dozen boats into the hole.

    Long Shallow did the trick today. Several came to the net similar to the pics and everything in between. Calm seas were a welcome sight. Trolled the shoreline and stuck with 17 fow.

    Smacked a king this morning and a ton of browns out of I-Bay. Got wet but stayed relatively warm.

    Still need to check the wind forecast for Sunday AM but leaning towards a shakedown trip nonetheless. Refresh my memory: Irondequoit Bay launch is taking early season boats now that docks are permanent? Plan b would be Genesee River launch.
