Question!? for the guys that hunt the yotes with dogs. What weapon are you using when the yotes are being chased by the dogs & are flying by at full speed? I have been using a12 ga., full choke/turkey choke with buck shoot (00) & I figure its only good out to about 50 yds. at best. any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks.
#4 buck, not 00

The deer has not been touched, either has the gut pile next to it.
Found another road kill today so now there are two deer and a pile.
Just a matter of time!

Get up to take a leak, shine the light and take a look. Even without the motion detector we should have it covered between me and my boys.
Good chance that deer may get dragged away, it's not very big.

Face book doesn't exist in my house and I have three kids in college. It's never been in my house. Same deal with video games. Was never a rule against either, just never came in the door.Yes, it is trouble. I don't even scroll through the news feed anymore. If I see a post on the top I may like or comment, but that's it. I use it very little now. It's amazing how less irritated I am now, if you could believe that.lol

I only use roadkill for bait. For me it wouldn't be right to shoot them and not eat them, that's what the coyotes and fox are for.
Motion detector doesn't seem to be working , just ordered another one.
17hmr for fox
204 for the yotes.

Great job! Here is a red I cracked with the x-bow in October. Had another running around behind the house last week, but he disappeared quickly.

Whaler, Please allow me to pic your brain for a second. This thread really got me going on this at the end of last year. I have a bait pile, motion sensor and everything in place. I had a handheld spotlight that I have used in the past for calling but I just put a cyclops light on my rifle. The other night my motion sensor goes off and I look out at the pile and a giant yote is there I can easily see without the (green) light. I then flip the light on and as soon as I hit the yote he bolts. Should I switch to the red? I haven't had any problems with the green on foxes. Also thinking about switching to the ATN night vision scope.
Thanks, Paul

Great job to Porter! Proud moment for you too.
Tom's at both leases every day and night (winter break) and it's laughable how many good deer he sees.
Wish I saw them but it's like they know when it's over.
