Weather this year hasn't helped.

Looks like there is a new visitor to the bait pile. Have a lousy cold and turned off the alarm last night to get a good night sleep. Figures. Hope to get a crack at him tonight.

From what I've read, the deer don't start eating the turnips until late season after a couple frosts turn the bitter starches into sweet sugars. I sure hope they like these turnips, there's about 70 acres of them on one side, cut corn on the other, and an unpicked apple orchard behind both. These turnips are the size of those huge zucchini you forget about in the garden. Long, fat, and white radish/ turnips. I roasted one for thanksgiving and it fed 15 people. Late start. Just got in the backyard with the bow

Did you see the one of the cat following the buck? A buddy of mine swore it was in the southern tier on a friend of his property. I told him as cool as it was that there was a cat in the area that it was even cooler that he had mule deer on his property.

Deer numbers are low, Must be all the mountain lions... internet says this trail cam photo of this year-long buck was taken this past week in the town of Newfane.

Lol I saw that one too. There's a new one every year.

I always went to Tim Steele in Avon and he made the divers into chees-dogs that were incredible. no idea how he does it. we shoot a ton of divers on Seneca and conesus and I didn't know what to do with them anymore so I just asked Tim to do what he could, and they're great. I figured id give Doug a shot as all his other products seem really good.

Tim does a great job.
