  1. Great rig! Sorry to see it go, Dev.

To any potential buyers, this boat is rigged to the gills.  Having fished on it several times and being an engineer myself, I can attest that no detail or expense was spared.  Does surprisingly well in the rough stuff too.
Thanks, Chuck! It's been an awesome boat and will make the next owner very happy!

  2. Selling my 2012 (bought new in 2013) Tracker Pro Guide V-175 WT with 115HP 4stroke Mercury Outboard and 9.9HP 4stroke Mercury Kicker w/ Electric Start.  This boat is located in Sackets Harbor, NY and has caught a lot of fish out of Lake Ontario over the years and trolls very well with precision speed and boat control.  A Growing young family forces me to sell and re-prioritize.  I am selling it COMPLETELY RIGGED AND TURN-KEY. It is ready to chase fin immediately - nothing wrong with the boat whatsoever.  When all equipment is installed, she boasts a surprising 26 rod holders!  Must see to appreciate the attention to detail and custom rigging -- engineer-owned.  The Main and Kicker have been serviced annually by a certified Mercury Mechanic with new engine oil, spark plugs, fuel filter, impeller, and lower unit oil. Only Non-ethanol fuel has been run its whole life. Trailer and radial tires are in great shape; only gets used 2x a year to haul it North in April and Haul it home in September ~150 miles each way.  Boat is stored in the garage every winter.  Title in hand.  Fuel Tank is full.  $23,000

  4. A lot of anglers especially in Ohio are using in line weights instead of lead core. With side planers the need for extreme long leads from the boat checking your lines is a lot faster and happens more often.. They are producing good catch rates without the time consuming reeling to bring in the lead core rigs. Consider changing your ways. We caught fish before lead core came around so faster setups and quicker catching is available.

Leadcores are still more reproduceable in presentation. Sounds like the wrong reels are being used here. Daiwa Saltist reels have 35" retrieve per handle crank (size 30) for short cores 2-3-4 color and 47.2" retrieve per handle crank (size 40) for medium cores 5-6-7-8 color... if you have never had the opportunity to get behind one of these fine pieces of machinery, you are missing out!

In line weights also require the annoyance and hassle of dealing with their removal at the boat while fighting the fish. Not saying this can't be perfected with a mature crew, but it adds risk to your catch rate that you cannot discount.

Personally, repeatability is king once you've dialed something in for the day. Cores give you that repeatability and confidence.

  5. Got twin 200hp HO etecs... they troll for 3-6hrs each before missing and getting loaded up, giving us 6-12hrs of trolling time. Depends how ya drive the boat before setting up to troll on how long they'll withstand trolling. These motors love to run hard so its important to let em rip best you can before trolling. If you plan to try to hit most economical cruise on way out and don't open em up, they simply will load up quicker and your troll will be short lived.

    Honest experience.

  6. I have for sale ( 8 ) gently used Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 6500LC Levelwind Line Counter trolling reels with right handed counter balanced power handles.  I've purely used these for Brown Trout fishing in April/May on the upper East End of the lake the last 3 seasons.  I'd like to sell all of them as a complete lot if possible.  All ( 8 ) are spooled with Clear BerkleyTrilene Big Game 12lb this Spring in April 2017.  Never left outside or in weather - always stored inside boat cuddy or in shed out of the elements.  They all still look brand new with little to no wear, all clickers work great, and all have super smooth drags - I take very good care of my equipment.

Can meet anywhere near Binghamton, NY or Sackets Harbor, NY, or anywhere in between along the I-81 Corridor.

Will Sacrifice all ( 8 ) as a lot for $650. Firm. No trades. These reels retail for $129.95 everywhere... save $50ea + tax and get em spooled up and ready to go for Spring!

    Thanks.... Devin

  7. I bought 8 of the 7'6" ML White Diamonds for my short cores (3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6) and 4 of the 9' M copper/core White Diamonds for my 10 color core, 300, 450, and 500 copper setups. And 2 of the 10'6" M dipsey rods which I'll install twillis for wire.

Bought 6 of the 8'6" ML Blue Diamond rigger rods and 2 of the 10' Blue Diamond roller rods for a second set of wire dipseys... wanted to try a pure roller rod and see how I liked the pair.

All these rods paired with high speed Daiwa Saltist reels. My coppers I went with some Penn Squall saltwater lever drag 2speeds with macho capacity.
