  1. the manual says digitroll iv,if they were 10's they would have sold 2 minutes after posting!!!!!still a good price for them, they are nice riggers,i had 2 of them on my boat last year,i really likes them, they are not as fast as stx's,but the really nice thing about the iv's is they stop gradually, not like the stx's that come up 100 mph and then just stop.

  2. if pulling more then 300' copper,i would run the dual keels.another thing to consider is storage, they do take up alot of room,if you are fishing from a smaller boat,it may be tough to find a spot to store them, other then that they work great,we pull 500 copper on them and have pulled smaller coppers in 4 footers with no problem.

  3. best value for line counters is what you already have, the magdas are good reels, that hold up just fine.i have some that are 5 years old now and still work just fine,i think I have had 1 drag go bad, sent it to tuna toms and it was fixed for 10 bucks.i did what you are looking to do and bought a bunch of convectors, they are good reels also, but they didn't put any more fish in the boat,so stick with what you have and spend that money on something else, just my 2 cents.

  4. Hit the water at 9 and by noon still had not moved a rod.fished from Selkirk to Brennan beach from 10 to 70 fow.fog was starting to get thick,so

we started to head back toward the little River, popped a small brown at Selkirk pier, then about 15 minutes later we tripled, got them all back in the water turned around went back through and popped another one.4 on sticks and 1 on a spoon.see what tomorrow brings.

  5. Mexico bay

towed boat out to Mexico for the weekend, didn't get on the water till 2,had first fish on in 15 minutes, nice fat 5lb brown, then about a half hour later hook up another, but after a short battle,he got off.wind was blowing pretty good,so we packed it in.fished between little river and catfish 10 to 20 fow.be back out tomorrow, suppose to be light and variable.
