'Windy and quiet walking  today so going to still hunt and Stalk till dark'...…. I Love your old school technique...nothing like shooting deer day bedded on the sides of hills in snow.. Please say when and I will travel to you or you come walk/stalk a mile or 2 here.

Saw 24 does this morning shot 1. Had to make sure the rifle was still on target before the Adirondack trip. Lol

Adirondack bound tonight for a few days if i dont fill my buck tag today. Going to Longspurs camp with him on the first major snowfall of the year. Should be fun

  saw a lot of action and chasing and grunting today on a spot  i am finally able to hunt for the 2nd half of the season.  Only problem is it is compound bow only,  but with the amount of sign i have seen and action i had today i think i am going to take my chances coming back in the morning!  

Saw 6 does tonight and 1 first rack buck. They all stayed out of range. Good luck to all tomorrow!

Sitting in my truck at my hunting spot waiting for it to stop snowing. The wife is with me trying to get her a deer with the crossbow. Hopefully it slows down soon

Just got back from Costanza sausage. 8 day turn around !! Smoked Hungarian , pepperoni , smoked jalapeno cheese sausage. And can't forget the apple sausage. I love deer season !! Good luck tomorrow to all looking to fill that tag !!!

had a dr appointment  so I took a vacation  day to hunt this morning, brought the crossbow today. About 730 I can see a buck chasing a doe around in the brush, seems like a decent 8. A small 4 pointer kept coming by and he kept chasing it off. Eventually the four point wandered over by my tree and the bigger one came to run him off again and offered a shot.  Best part for me was calling my dad to come down and help with the recovery. Not a monster but I'm happy.

I always stop them if it needs to be done. With that said I ALWAYS aim low, especially in that situation. If they are alert before the shot they are more the likely going to drop. Aim for the heart, if they drop you still have a chance at the lungs.

Just hit a giant 8 rattled him in. 25. Yard shot. Not 100 percent sure on shot looked forward watched him walk off till I lost sight about 100 yards out
