Times that 60 by 5-6 times by each on of your buddies!! Which they did!!, do the math. Evidently you have no clue how many fish they killed by not letting that many fish spawn or eggs stripped for a hatchery, now we are talking millions of fish they killed. You wanna go on?? If their your friends, I’d find another group of guys to hang out with. With a name like Mike Jones, or Scott Smith, I’d be will to bet your working under a false name also!!! No person in their right mind would support those guys in any manner on this site and say they support their actions because we don’t know their circumstances. The US. Government caters to foreign people in this county, they’d be eligible for government hand outs free food and money way before I would be able to, that’s for damn sure. Tell them to get a green card, then they’d get a free ride in this country!! They could stay in the nice warm house and check the mail box every 3 days for their free subsidies from this great country!!! That way could be nice and dry and warm!!
yes Pap very well said!

Did 3 sets last night after 10 when the wind died. First set I saw 3 dogs, first 2 running about 800 yards off and never came to play and the third crossed my field about 500 off toward the end of the set and showed zero interest in anything my fox pro had to say. Plenty of dogs but I have a feeling somebody has been pushing buttons on their e caller out that way. 2nd set was empty so I decided to hit a spot on the way home I've taken 3 dogs from this year but all 3 had mange. Right from the first howl I had a dog responding to me off to the north. I called sparingly for about 35 minutes with him responding each time I mad a noise with the fox pro. Finally I said f-it and set off pup distress and pup screams at the same time with the fusion. Sure enough he came screaming in from the north and was heading downwind. He slowed up on his own and I dropped him at about 180 before he winded me. Sure enough I walk up to a demon looking low 20lb dog with zero fur from his hips back and not much anywhere else. No thanks. He's still out there.

Well, you can be productive this time of year with some early morning hunts in the timber. Or, nighttime if you stay in those lower fields and pull them out of the timber. It depends on prevailing winds but with any call, there's no need to go too deep in and get backdoored or have them wind you. Keep any kind of barrier between you and your backside. Call between you and the wind so that when they come in you have a clear view of downwind from the call, cause that's where they will come. Play the wind, don't go too deep and just let the call bring em across the property right to you.exactly right!

I have a couple questions if someone is willing to help a rookie out. First, i read all the time how guys will do x number of sets in a night. How long do you stay in a set with no activity before you move? When you move to the next set, how far is it from your last set? Secondly, with it being breeding season, is there one or two things I could focus on to increase my odds? Lastly, I've been told that they like to make dens in the piles of tree tops after a property has been logged. Is this true? I'm hunting our property in Central Pa that is approximately 400 acres which is all timber. A little over a year ago we had about 40 acres timbered off and it's littered with tops.
Thanks for any help and I absolutely love this site, seems like a great group of people!
my general rule of thumb and a calm night is 30 to 45 mins per set. Make sure the last call you always do before you get up is yote pup distress. If they are in the area they will usually come in running to that call. I dont have 2 set ups that are close to each other anymore. My spots all have miles in between them but on a calm night/day id move proabably half mile in open country and at least a couple hundred yrds. The most important thing is pay attention to the wind after all they are dogs that will smell you and if that happens you will never see them. Also do not over call that was the hardest thing for me to understand when i first started using electronic calls. Remember they are just calls not magic. Good luck hope this info helps!

Your a lucky man Bondouley!! Sometimes I wish my wife would go, but she doesn’t want anything to do with it, but promotes me to get out there and doesn’t bytch about the cost of things, I’m sure if I told her I need $5grand for a thermal scope she’d get a little “your kidding me right” LOL, I’m waiting on a set of Wicked lights for my 22/250 I have one on my scatter gun.
Thanks Pap Sheila is a hardcore chick for sure. We did 2 nights of sets i think 6 total right after deer season but had no shots and only saw 1 set of eyes but looked like a fox. Hopefully next month we can seal the deal one 1 or 2 for her.
I have a wicked light on my 22-250 and another for scanning. Love those lights! As far as $5k for a thermal I cant justify that even if i wanted to. I just dont have the properties to do it on anymore like i use to have.

My wife has really been wanting to Come coyote hunting with me. So why do dinner and movies when you can bring her coyote hunting for date night. Being new to coyote hunting this season, I brought her out to where I do most my deer hunting as I know that spot is too coyote rich. I let her do the fox pro caller..... and she called me in my first coyote while actually coyote hunting. Unfortunately the drag out through 12” snow and nearly 8/10 of a mile Up hill dragging was not fun but she help the whole way. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s pictures and success and am glad i proved my first success. I have called a few coyotes into 30 yards unfortunately some of those areas I am hunting have to use a bow.
Absolutely awesome! I've been trying to get my fiance out again this yr but the ice fishing has been stellar. We are going to hit the yote hunting hard during march
