    Anyone have insight or thoughts on the True Course Captain School in held at FLCC? I'm leaning towards True Course vs others (SeaTech) or online because they are local to me and they help with drug, medical, first ad, etc. Passing the exam is one aspect but enjoying the class and learning is another. https://www.truecourses.com/locations/rochester-ny/

    Open water summer Pike fishing, where are they? Lake Ontario is a fairly flat bottom. Shore to 200ft is about 5 miles. - Bay water is too hot. Mid 70's. - No structure. - No crazy ledges / quick transitions. Casting the mouth of Bays and channels in late fall and ice fish Bays we pull up lots of good Pike, some in the 40's inch. Pike move in once the water is cold and the breeding starts. I know they are coming from the Lake but where? - Are they belly to bottom in 50 degree water? Which could be 100ft down. - Are they migrating from different river systems traveling 100's of miles away? The salmon trolling guys never pull up Pike when trolling spoons / flys in open water.

    Thanks for the reply. Would 7ft of 30lbs floro be OK from the flasher to the spoon? I originally thought mono b/c it has more forgiveness and stretchs. I'll upgrade the 4ft of leader from the dipsy to the flasher. If something breaks I want it after the flasher. Spoons/flies are cheaper 😉

    Looking to setup my dipsy rods, they are 11'6 I have 40lbs braid for my main line, hooked to a dipsy then 4ft of 30lbs floro to the flasher then 7ft of 20lbs mono to the spoon. Is 20lbs OK or should I use 15lbs mono to the spoon? I'm use to Musky/Pike setups... this whole light weight line has me worried 😉

    I actually have 6 of these batteries. My company decommissioned a PA system so the batteries where not needed. I'm currently running 3 on my boat and selling the other 3.
