I have a 1995 Trophy 20 foot walk around that had been repowered with a 2002 Mercury Optimax 135 by the previous owner. I repowered it to a Yamaha F150 4-stroke in 2017 and couldn't be happier. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Headed out at 7am and fished til 12:30 with spoons and flasher/fly on riggers and lead core from 100 FOW out to 225 FOW..... marked fish but no takers. Decided to head in to shallower water for some Browns. Set up and within 15 minutes this fish was in the net.... Fish hit a green/orange spoon off the rigger 60 feet back / 60 feet down in 90 FOW

Freespirit I'm with you..... Fished all day yesterday and nothing! Out in front of the cooling tower to 180 FOW. Marked fish in 140 to 170 but no takers. Fished spoons on riggers between 30 and 85 / lead cores at 3, 5 and 7 colors. Several marks at 90 to 110 so I dropped one of the riggers to 85. Nadda... Thanks for the advise. We made it out but as you probably know the weather was crappy. We trolled north from Mexico thru 60 FOW into 80 FOW marking fish most of the way. We went 0 for 0 before heading in mid-afternoon when the weather started to get nastier and the lake developed quite a chop. Oh well, it was good to get out and I can't wait to go again.

Thanks guys for the pointers. LongLine - you just about quoted the text message I sent to my uncle earlier this evening regarding my plan to "stay outside the pack and do our thing" We have our licenses. Boat is 20 foot. I have all the standard safety gear - PFD's, fire extinguisher, ship-to-shore radio, lights, horn, whistle....

Heading out on Saturday for the first time on the Big O. We'll most likely be launching at Mexico Point. We plan to troll spoons and plugs with downriggers. Are there any special regs that I need to know? Special permits, tackle restrictions, etc.... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I've fished the Salmon River for years and I'm looking forward to my first trip out on the lake. I have a 20 foot Trophy and will be heading out on Sept. 9. I only have 1 day to hopefully get hooked up. Any advise for areas to launch and fish on the east side of the lake would be appreciated. I have downriggers and a GPS.
