Hit the turkey woods for the 1st hour 2 gobblers roosted to my right and left within 50 yds. Close call but hens are plenty right now but thats a whole other story.
we left the river at 8:30 am an motored east towards shipbuilder 1st king on before all rods were set. Was a great day 8 for 11
Kings , 1 laker and a nice steelhead. riggers and dipsys worked well and 6 color core was the star.
NBK,Gators,Wonderbread and Yellowtail all took fish. fog was thick as pea soup.
Was a welcome great day after struggling Sunday

Just had this exact problem with my 270 crusader.... Almost a certainty it's the impeller in the water pump
My bearing in the pump were on the way out also so had whole pump rebuilt. Broken piece of impeller need to be remover from engine or it will restrict water flow and still run hot.
Ran like a champ Sunday temp stayed right at 140 like it should
Good luck

Remarkable that it's that warm already

it should be fine there, the further away from the prop the better,I'd be more worried about interference from the fishhawk
I have the Garmin 50DV

Another possible cause of slowness is not using heavy enough gauge of wire from your battery to the terminal block
