  1. I can't wait to fish it. Its been on my radar for a while. It will be a nice change of scenery and will be nice to meet some of you guys. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Patriot, I'm sure a PM to him would have sufficed. Not the way to speak your mind on someone else's add. Be a little more polite, no matter what your thoughts are. Good luck with the sale. Jay Davies
  3. That's a good point! I'd imagine at times a 4 point fish could mean 1st or 2nd. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Thank you again for the info and the email! Jay Davies
  5. I hear ya! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. On another note, I cannot wait to be back at it in a boat. I can only sharpen so many hooks and order so many baits to keep me occupied. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. Its always interesting hears other opinions and experiences. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. The action cam is easy. I can usually get it turned on while I'm fighting a fish. You control it from an app on your smart phone versus it coming with its own remote. I usually just turn it on manually. I like the picture better than the gopro. Jay Davies
  9. I'm fishing for tigers 80% of the time as well. I have Sony action cams I pull still shots from, so I'm not worried about photos. My main concern is a successful release for both fish and angler. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I do the majority of my fishing alone. At times, my fiancé will tag along, and she is really the only one that I trust with the net. There are times that handling fish alone is a real challenge. What do others who fish alone do to better their chances at successfully netting that fish? Jay Davies
  11. Can anyone give me some info on the tiger tourney next month on Otisco? I'm assuming it's the same rules as last year? The site hasn't been updated and I'm unsure of how much it is to enter or how I go about it. Two of us are looking to participate. Thanks Jay Davies
  12. Haha, I shared this on FB. Homer is ready to go. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I didn't even notice that! Completely unintended. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I was just looking at that pic. Awesome Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I've noticed that. Thanks for bringing that up. I think I'm going to get both. I'll try the higher gear low pro for burning buck tails and the round for my heavier baits and adjust from there. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. That makes sense. And when you're using 65#-80# braid, you don't really need a large amount of line for casting anyhow. Thank you Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I can certainly see where your hand would kind of mold to a low pro, where ass the round reels are more bulky. But, it seems as though with the round reel being wider, it would give you more room with gloves on for line control. Maybe I'm thinking the wrong way. Thank you for your reply! 18. I'm getting ready to add a few reels for my heavy casting/ jigging setups and I was wondering if this was more a preference thing, or the low pros get to a certain point where you are better off going to a round reel? I don't care either way. I just want to make sure I'm benefiting from what I buy. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I will keep that in mind for next year! It will be my first time on that lake so I will take this opportunity to learn it a little bit and plan a couple weekends there next year in my boat. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I've made a choice based on my lack of planning. We decided to stay closer to home and we are headed to Chautauqua for 3 days in October. With a wedding this year, and a few other things, it was in my best interest to wait till next year for the big trip. Thanks guys for your help! Jay Davies
  21. Thank you for your help Capt. Larry Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Thank you sir! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I definitely considered the Detroit, but my first choice for a guide is booked when I'd like to go. I'm definitely booking with him for 2016. My planning is just poor and to late. If there is anyone you guys have fished with out there, I'd love to hear your suggestions. PMs are very welcome. Thanks! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I'm planning a trip for myself and one other buddy around full moon in November for three days. I'm not looking to troll. I want to do a vertical presentation. I'm willing to head across the border. Just looking to get three solid days in jigging and with a chance at a legal fish to CPR. Thanks for any help, Jay. 25. Ohhhhhhhh boy! I'm looking forward to taking a drive shorty when ice heads out here and watch them. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
