  1. Does anyone know of a guy who works on Honda outboards around the Mexico area? I really don't feel like towing the boat home again this weekend. 6 hours is a long ride.

I'm getting an alarm without any indicator lights flashing. I'm leaning toward co2 sensor but could be wrong

    Thanks again

  2. hey steve, let me know when your autopilot is up for sale.

Jason will do, I'm headed up next weekend. We broke down and rented a slip and camp site at Salmon country.

Dad is officially retired, so he's going summer on Lake O

  3. Marine Electronics

So I'm looking to upgrade my electronics, there are so many options out there can you guys give any suggestions. Please tell my why you like it as well.

I'm looking for an all in one head unit with autopilot and Radar.

Currently running a Raymarine C-120 system with 24mike radar and ST 8001 Autopilot.

(Which will be for sale when I get my new stuff)

Also a good High Performance transducer for the Fish Finder.

    Thanks in advance

  5. So, I was out trolling around this past weekend when my auto pilot and GPS started going haywire!!!

I currently run a Raymairne C-120 plotter with a ST 8001 auto pilot with a Raystar 125 receiver, after Polk around Hull truth they say there's a battery in the Receiver that needs to be changed every so often. I've had it for 10 years so it's prob past due.

My question is should I bother changing the battery or upgrade to the new 130 receiver?

My only hang up is, it compatible with my dated but working flawlessly setup?

Do I need a conversion kit?

Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

  6. I run a Gopro in a torpedo housing I made, running just above the ball. It is a lot of fun reviewing footage from previous fishing adventures, but it's also a bit tedious.

The problem I see with the WW is there is no replaceable battery, so when you run out of battery life you have to remove the camera and charge the whole camera. With the GoPro, you can swap batteries and send it back down so you won't miss any action.

I have seen some short clips guys have shot with the WW on Lake Michigan and they looked good though.

Can you show a photo of the torpedo mount you made for the go pro, I had a similar idea but I'm a little worried about attaching it to my rigger.

    Thanks

  7. I have a fixed 4ft boom on each of my Cannon Mag 10A riggers but I would like to get a longer boom for my starboard rigger. I've seen a 5ft boom on some older Uni-Troll riggers but not on the older Mag 10A's. I'm just looking for one longer boom. Thanks!

    4ft was a guesstimate, they measure 3ft.

    Todd,

You can make any size you need with a top rail from Home Depot. Purchase the vinyl coated section cut it to length desired. Remove coating from end that will be attached to rigger body. Make sure that you seal the end section first with a good paint. At that time you can add your terminal pulley with cable.

I made one last season to reach over my outboard with gilbracket. My total length is just over 5'8". It's super strong, I run a 14lbs torpedo weight with chamberlain release.

I'll try to attach pictures tomorrow of finished product.
