  1. 80-250fow best nite was between 90-160. Fish were up high. Top 50ft. All magnum spoons. They didn’t touch Stingrays or Super Slims. Meat only took two fish
  2. Depends. This Sunday after two days of east wind 14kt they forcasted waves around 2ft. Sunday was less than 1ft until around 3pm check the bouy info and noaa forecasts. Look at the hourly one. Follow the trend.
  3. Absolutely hammered Kings out of Olcott on Sunday despite the east winds. Mild wave height and non stop action. Probably landed 30 and lost about 6. Kept our 4 man limit and released the rest healthy.
  4. Okuma Classic Pro Glt rod. Epoxy a twili tip on the end. Spool up with bloodrun wire and don’t look back.
  5. I think it turned out fair. Still a little soft. I have to toughen it up. Maybe I’ll throw them in a bag with some salt and borax. See if that toughens them up some. Is this how its it’s supposed to look? That’s an Atomik King head
  6. My buddy is swearing that Familiar Bite and Dreamweaver herring strips will outproduce my home brined fresh Atlantic sardine cut bait. Says I shouldn’t even use it. I’ll be interested to see who hooks up more
  7. I’ll be running my big Aurora Lite boards this weekend. I’ll take some video and upload it to YouTube. The gist of it is this. You tow the big boards off a mast or roof. Big reels and pulleys. Tow line is usually some form of spectra or braid. 150-200lb rest. You let the boards out whatever distance you want. Mine are usually out 25-40yds off each side. You let your cooper or leadcore out. Half hitch a rubber band around the backing. You then insert that rubber band into a “clip” or “release” and attach it to your tow line. Then You open your rod spool and let line out...to send your release down the tow line towards the boards. You can run multiple rods off that tow line...keeping them spaced out. I often have 3 rods running off each board. When a fish hits it will typically snap that rubber band or pop that rubber out of the release. And you will hear your drag ripping. You then fight the fish.
  8. I have 4lbs of fresh Atlantic sardine in some brine. I’ll let you know how it turns out
  9. Yeah that won’t work. I’m only fishing the one day and I need meat to use while I’m out there.
  10. What time do they open? Says 5am on their website. I have lines in the water by then usually
  11. I have the 93SV. I don’t use the side scan or down imaging on Erie or Ontario. Mostly just Chirp or 200hz frequencies. Bottom lock is great and imaging is fantastic. Never looked for the simulation setting. Why do you need it?
  12. I can not source herring strips locally here in Pittsburgh. But I can find fresh whole 6-8in sardines. Could I brine these and use them in meat rigs? the slippery sinker isn’t open when I leave the harbor for the day. So I need an option for meat. Any help?
  13. Have you tried heading north out of North East? There has to be cold water past the mountain drop off. I catch lakers heading north out of Barcelona all the time.
  14. Seafoam is a petroleum product. It wont hurt anything in the motor. I run it in every engine I own, from my boat to my chainsaw. I recently asked my boat mechanic his thoughts on using Seafoam instead of Stabil, and he said SeaFoam by far is a better choice. I use 1oz per gallon every time I fill my boat up.
  15. Unit is 3 years old. At the end of each season I would send it in to Raymarine for new clutch pads. Works fine.
  16. You can use whatever course computer and compass you want. I have a couple interested parties and I’m working on returning calls and messages.
  17. he can pull the engine today. Debating on having a new bilge pump out in while the engine is out
  18. Selling my Raymarine Sportpilot. Drive unit only. Works fine. Recently went to hydraulic steering and no longer need it. You'll need your own electronics for it though. $500 obo. Ill pay 2 day insured shipping from Pittsburgh.
  19. So i have an oil pan leak on my Merc V6. Where the oil pan meets the timing chain cover. Mechanic is recommending pulling the motor, replacing the oil pan, gaskets, seals, and timing chain cover. Plus new oil filter and oil change. Parts around $150 bucks. But a lot of labor. Said it should take him 3-4 days, and be $1600-2000. Does this sound reasonable?
  20. I was catching lakers in 60fow 25ft down on Sunday out of Barcelona.
