  2. Uh oh.  Brother-in -law is here from Iowa.  Taking him out in AM  .  He isn`t a fisherman would like to get him into a couple of fish.  (Not sure they have any lakes in Iowa)....  Was going to head N of Sampson per Lakebound88`s last report.  We will see. :shake:

  3. Yeah, I may end up doing that. Been thinking about your method of entering from front. Hoist controls are towards lake, have been entering from back. Maybe removable planks so Tasha and Mrs. can get in the front. Will keep experimenting.😃

  4. I have a board spanning between hoist legs. Didn't think about hanging a rope, good idea. Also have a 72lb. Senior canine that loves to boat, but not so easy mounting and dismounting. Somehow manage to get it done.

  5. That looks like a good idea  My trouble is stepping from my dock down into the boat.  The fishmaster is so much deeper than my last boat.  I have to step from the dock down onto the storage shelf in the boat, then onto a small st ool, then onto the floor.  Not the best or safest method, but haven't been able to find anything else.  Any suggestions appreciated!

  6. Maybe you know, a fellow on J ere has a 15hp motor.do you think a fish MN aster t ransom would handle that (130lb), along with a90hp mercy? Motor would be set right on transom.

  7. Glad you had a good shakedown.  Regarding the weephole, I had that problem for years.  Found out that in the fall spiders like to build nests in that small hole.  End of season I now put a piece of electric tape on outside of hole, haven't had a problem since.

  8. A big congratulations to you, Les.

A big congratulations to you, Les.  You can now shrug off the label "always a bridesmaid, never a bride." Although a smigen of luck was certainly a factor, by far your first place trout was the result of experience, knowledge, attention to detail, and tenacity.  Well deserved, very happy for you and Mark.  Hop.
