  1. Forgot to add this.. I made a huge mistake today. I thought I knew exactly where I was, told the guy driving boat...."don't worry, just the tip of a hump, keep going, we are fine, it will get deeper", and then came 68fow, I even locked up my dipsy rods, lost another winger and cannon ball, 2 flasher fly setups. I was already past the hump, ran up on the mountain. I know in an earlier post I gave recommendations on how to fish the mountain, well I sure didn't follow my own protocol, and it cost me, an expensive day. 2. We were out set up by 6:30, it was flurries of hits then quiet for hours, them repeat with flurry....I'm happy with it, dock guy at Henchens said 10 Kings came in today, and there was a ton of boats out, so I'm happy to get some action, I'm more upset we lost 3, especially when the bites are so far apart. 3. Well, I don't know what to say, today was a rough day, not just the waves. Past the lighthouse was really rough today. The fish are there, there is no pattern or depth, scattered all over, most kings seemed to be in 85' to 105 FOW. There were lots of suspended lakers down 45'. Started at pill boxes, worked out past mountain. Finally fired a screamer on rigger, flasher fly, that caught my winger rigger line, lost fish trying to bring both lines in. Turned and headed back.....long time then Fired a dipsy diver, came off, another dipsy screamer, landed it, 34", not sure of weight. While clearing a rigger rod a King hit so hard it almost took rod out of my hands, immediately broke line. Then no king hits for hours, caught some more lakers. Ended the day 1-4 Kings, a few knockoffs, and 5 lakers. All we need is a few days of quiet time on the lake, and temps will stabilize and look out, it's gonna be hot. 13. Yes, rod holders, Big Jon is the one I'm curios about, I have a set of Big Jon vertical trees bases mounted perminate on my Starcraft and was wondering if I just bought another set of bases if I could put them on my Baha that also has Traxtech tracks instead of buying another set of trees? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. I'm out of Moonshine Geezer spoons, I have the 2016 Moonshine catalog and they are not listed in it. Does anyone know any tackle shops on the eastern part of Lake Ontario that may carry them or can special order them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Does anyone know what other brands fit in Traxtech tracks? Bert's, Cannon, Big Jon, etc? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Todd, It's a 299 Baha Hardtop, I love it, it loves gas[emoji383] I agree on having more local tourneys, I can usually only enter a one day tourney cause of my job and the store, but I think they are great for the area, and great to get more people involved in our sport. I think Henchans should do a big salmon daily tournament on weekends, even if only 20 boats enter...$10.00 entry fee per boat= $200 payout. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  19. Well, I can't give a great report, I fished from 6:20 til 8:00am and bailed when the lightning hit. Anyway, was setting rods and fired a wire dipsy 225 flasher fly, King... Then fired 235 wire flasher/fly laker, had several hits that didn't connect on both riggers and dipsys. One more small king and we bailed. Most action for us seemed to be from 75' to 90' down in 130fow. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. I believe fleet tracker is who Jerry is talking about in Bedford Creek. Over 10 years ago I was docked there with a 24' Trophy Hardtop. Absolutely loved it at Bedford, just hard coming in the late part of the season. Some years it wasn't any issue, every year was different depending on water levels and winds blowing sand in. 21. I'll be out also, ill be in a Baha hardtop, I leave mine on 18, give a shoutout Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Awesome fish, Did you catch these in front of southwicks , north and south Sandy? Just curious, I wanted to run there Sunday but had my big boat and didn't want to burn the gas on a hunch, lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. A friend of mine got this one today, as you can see it is changing color. The other thing I noticed is the mud in its belly, this fish was laying on bottom recently at some point. It's a bad picture, looks like a smaller fish but it weighed 26lbs, that's what he told me anyway,it was a foot longer than the motor cover Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Crest liner 1850, Sorry, forgot to answer your 2nd question. With all the winds the temperature has been unstable and the salmon have seeked stable water, I'm guessing they moved out into 300+ feet of water to find the stability. The lake is setting up, I've been talking with some of my friends that have fished last few days and the temp should be down around 100' if not already. If the wind holds we will have the first wave of kings in any day. Actually I fished Sunday and slowed up near the pill boxes and couldn't believe my screen. I had to set up even though that wasn't my plan. They were definitely King salmon. We had one rip but didn't connect. I ran a high pattern avoiding lake trout but we did get a few over 30" fish. I think some are coming in the trench late afternoon and bailing back out an hour or so after sunrise.I'm guessing there is pods of fish now in the NW corner off of Calf island spit and off the finger midday Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
