  5. I understand that….wondering if anyone knows approximately what the distance is from water to bottom of the bridge. I would then know if I could get under. Thanks though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Does anyone know the approximate clearance under the bridge at Taughannock in Feet or inches? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. You have to appreciate the volunteers who donate their time and try their best BUT.....this is a pay for play event with thousands of dollars on the line, these mistakes should not continue to happen. How about the people fishing who themselves are not able to tell the difference and have a fish weighed, misidentified and may have placed if it was put in the right category. Fisherman that know will challenge that and probably it gets resolved. As for Nick's comment about his sister and it being weighed by finger lakes club members, they are volunteering but actually are doing it for a free entry to a tournament with a $50 entry fee, therefore they are being paid $50. With that being said why not pay one person at weigh stations that has the proper knowledge to identify these fish and let others volunteer to assist. They can measure, weigh and document but always have one person there to identify. It sounds as though getting enough people to volunteer is becoming a problem so have only one weigh station, do it at Sampson so it's closer to the middle. It would take fewer people and pay one per shift to identify.

  13. I stand corrected. I made some calls and understand they did not stock Atlantic’s or Browns in the lake but a few Browns were stocked in the Keuka outlet. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I’m certain they stocked Browns in the spring but I will find out for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Maybe. I think the goal is for some holdovers and natural reproduction. One can only hope. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Yes they did. My understanding is they stocked around 100,000 Ciscoes. Also I have been told that Atlantic stocking has not stopped nor will it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Well I would like to say it was due to our stellar abilities...lol....but truth be known, we left two in the rod holders until we could get to them and they stayed buttoned up. haha Although we each were on our own while we were fighting and landing the first three.
  18. Went out of Sampson this morning for a quick trip aboard Reel Stories. The wind was certainly blowing pretty good when we put in a six rod spread about 7:15 and the lake still had a bump to it when we quit at about 10:15. We picked away at them from the start and then Nick said there's one, oh we're doubled, haha a triple, no wait that's 4...nope 5. That's right 5 out of the 6 rods fired giving me, Greg and Nick some laughs .... we managed to land them all. Capt. Nick was on his game today, we never changed a bait with all six rods taking fish this morning. I didn't count but i'm guessing we landed about 15 fish and the biggest Lamprey I've ever seen. Great morning on the water and fishing with good friends always makes it better.
  19. I have always been told 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish. That being said most fishermen might struggle when a lake is fishing tough. You my friend are in the top 10% of the best on the lake. Hold your head high and be proud. Since I’ve known you, you have always displayed class and integrity. 21. Thanks guys. Nick you always organize a great event. I can’t say enough about Capt Nick Overacker and Joe Solometo for the help they give me. Wealth of knowledge and an open book, always willing to help. Brian you are a class act. It was good seeing you and I’m glad you were able to come down and play on the fingers. Hopefully you’ll do it again. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. It’s not to late to get in. One bite is all it takes. Glad to see a good number of boats getting in. Good luck all and I hope it’s a fun filled day for everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
