  4. Yeah I was pretty sure that it was shot... the more that I think about it and after looking at the exploded pics... i think that is tapped right into the crank shaft... no coupler [emoji24] Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. When I stick the shaft in far enough, it turns the motor. There does seem to be something lose inside the prop housing maybe. It didn't turn both ways before but does now... looking for a new to me motor... might just got brand new... just interested in what went wrong with this one since it seems pretty simple to mess with Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. And a tiller wouldn't hurt... easier to take on and off... i could switch it to a smaller boat for winter perch if we don't get ice Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Right now I am just searching. Debating on spending $1500 but that's a little over half way to a new one... so I guess between $500 and $1500 for the right setup. I'd like to get some fishing in before the ice... if we get any Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Looking for newer, reliable kicker. Prefer electric start and throttle. Will take tiller handle. Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Nothing so far. Looked at exploded view. Shows no coupler. Stuck the prop rod in for s&g and the prop shaft grabbed... maybe the lower half is messed up... lower half of the shaft looks fine... gear oil has no metal flakes... not milky... 12. Upper splines rounded off. Took it out of casing but can't seem to find how to remove coupler. Is it possible to replace just coupler or is it part of the crank shaft? Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Took a buddy out before dark... looks like the Sm and pike are becoming active... pike bit the lines off at the boat... Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Caught two this morning... floating on there sides minutes later... they were the biggest I caught all day... now say I wanna chase schools for couple more hours looking for a bigger fish... the ones I just caught would be dead by weigh in. I guess it's part of strategy.... just wanted to put it out there tho... I still might fish it. Depends on weather and my partner Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. 65.8 ° Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Not bad morning. On and off like a light bulb. Lost two nice pike at the boat. Missed couple other big hits... soon as the wind picked up, lost my little pocket of warmer water... Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Yeah not the whole 20lbs at once[emoji23]. Made my bait float last time... oops. Testing my new carb settings this weekend. Hopefully all is well and can get into this one. Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Works for this weather. When it was 90... they would just go belly up Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. To keep them alive for a long period? I use a cooler but often fine them going belly up after an hour or so... ones caught deep their air bladders explore out there mouth and pretty much died instantly. Weather is getting colder so they stay alive longer. Still debating! [emoji2] Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Going to put a branch on my boat and call it the goby crusher. Start putting notches in it for every goby... Sent from my XT1609 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
