  1. Any Old Apleco 365 display units out there? If so can any one take a picture of the wires... Or want to sell it? Tool mine apart, left on dash to get condensatio out, forgot to put it back together... And well.. Wires pulled out... I probably should just upgrade... But that means pulling old transducers and filling holes in my aluminum boat... Figure I would try here before starting a headache Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Any chance you will sell just sub troll? Where you located? Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. [emoji55] is how tight lip the perch guys are. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. [emoji23] I had my crank strap break early in the season, forgot to hook up the safety chain... Got 3/4 the way out... Boat slid back landed on the motor, bow way up in the air... Least I was smart... Stopped, got out and tied the bow and cranked her slowly back on while to others pushed. Glad they where their. More embarrassing then anything but I won't ever forget that safety chain... Going to upgrade it to a locking carabeiner. 0 damage.[emoji106] Sent from my VS425PP using Tapatalk
  5. Wish I could get some free time to actually give them a try. Caught one bow so far. Sent from my VS425PP using Tapatalk
  6. There all expensive and " don't have any time till January ". Try the " old boat " forum. Guys on there are amazing. Walked me threw my motor until I understood everything. What motor are you running? Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Is your boat fiber glass? From my understanding glass boats don't have this issue. Mine is connected directly to the haul with a mounting bracket. I got a few hits on my riggers. Maybe I don't have an issue at all. Napa was closed so I couldn't get a volt meter. Today I was to busy. I need to get a fish finder to see if fish are rising or running from my ball I guess... Old one on mine finally died. Hopefully I don't have any issues. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I had to yell at a guy who couldn't read the " Do not block driveway sign". Wants to launch his boat... Not smart enough to pull up and to the side or far enough ahead so I could fit behind him... Sent from my VS425PP using Tapatalk
  9. Does it need to be grounded? 4 HP lightwin on mounting bracket. I haven't tested to see if there is voltage to the downrigger. Just installed two manuals and after a couple google searchs, I couldn't find anything specific on pull start kickers being grounded. I plan on testing with volt meter today. I don't think I have a hot boat. Caught a lot of fish the other day in the Finger Lakes but that was with braided dipseys and wire rod never took a hit. I know my catch rate for Lakers has gone way down since I started fishing an aluminum boat compared to my small fiber glass boat. My rainbow and salmon catch rate has increased. Maybe I am over worried about it. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Thanks. All info I get is on electric riggers. Didn't realize he wasn't running riggers just dipseys. I got a pair yesterday. Thanks for the quick explanation Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Do you need to ground manual riggers? Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. Frog color. Ak 47 flt spoon worked well Thursday. 2.2 on gps over 200 to 250. Went 6 for 7. 5 bows 2 Lakers. Dropped one lake at the boat. All but one came on the north troll. Brought speed up to 2.8 on south troll and picked up another bow infront of Dean's. Going out later or tomorrow to test new to me down riggers. 16. I fish solo. People gotta wait for me to go get my trailer and come back to get my boat... I can have mine out in 5 mins or less. I see your point tho but not all of us fish with partners. Like said before... Have your tubes, coolers, lines... Everything ready to go. Personally, one lane in, one lane out makes the most sense. We turned a road block into a civilized mess one day. Told my buddy to pull up infront of one guy going out on the south lane, give him just enough room to get out, I pulled up infront of him so I was the next one launching,, left the north lane for boats coming in.... Its the people who can't drive that mess it up.. Can't back your jet ski up in a straight line? Maybe you should practice before almost backing into mine and others boats!! Get a couple good laughs watching some these guys. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Mine don't turn off. Sorry bud. Not that I got there that early. I know what you mean tho. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Thanks for the pic. I would of never figured it out. I did buy some clips that went to the ball just encase. Now I got a lot more to learn. Mostly bought for a probe eventually but won't be this year. Mount them tomorrow maybe give them a shot in the afternoon. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I understand how to set depth. Don't get how the line is suppose to clip in. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Someone has a pretty good ding in their boat from hitting my trailer... Plenty room to get around... Some people can't drive. Down to Dean's that can't figure it out... Make one lane for in and one lane for out. Funny when both lanes get jammed up because tournament guys are trying to come in and everyone else is trying to go out after lunch. Traffic jam... 20 boats deep Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. People out skiing in it last night... I bring extra bottle of tap water. Just rinse my hands unless you get a active bow on the release... Get a good splashing when they decide they wanna take off. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. They opened the beaches again but won't be surprise if they shut down again. There was clean water out there... Was hard to find. Fish were biting excellent. 5 bows 2 Lakers. Not a lot big fish but they wanted to fight. Sent from my VS425PP using Lake Ontario United mobile app
