  1. I'm stocking up on Finger Lakes Tackle spoons. I've seen a few I like but wondering what others use that work well. I plan on spending around $100.
  2. Was slow in the south end around Sheldrake down to the park. I launched from Dean's cove and headed up north on the west side. Bunch salmon and rain bows mostly small. Got to the drop off where it goes from 120 to 25. Found lakes active in this area. Caught 6 Lakers on pink and silver Stinger Alewife. 5 to 1 compared to Sutton and other colors. I took one Laker and a LL for dinner. LL came on Sutton 5colors out on a board 30fow. Nothing huge but if you wanna catch a lot. That's where I went. Finger Lakes Angling Zone reported active pike up there. I imagine there far north by the bridge tho.
  3. If you fish Cayuga, the very north end had active Lakers. Caught 5 in a couple ours plus a bunch rainbows. I'm not giving up on Seneca yet... I'm ready for a fish dish tho.
  4. Tis very light. I usually peel 10 foot off every 2 or 3 fish. I'll lose one now and then but hey that's fishing... I always stop the lure for couple seconds before lifting out of the water. I've caught them right at the boat. Going to try jigging over on the west side where th Lakers were... if it isn't 3ft waves again lol
  5. In close around 15 fow casting on rock structure. Catch jumbos perch the same way. Some times when weeds are bad I use original floaters. Also 6lbs test for casting gives up the extra distance and really makes you fight them.

  7. Try Lodi. They were all over the north side of Lodi. Husky Jerks worked best. Cayuga has a bunch pike hitting in the north end. If you head out Dean's cove and head north to the east side. Over by the channel markers.
  8. Ah ok. I don't use riggers. Next year probably. Been running core and dipsys divers. I get what your saying tho.
  9. Just got off the north end... nadda bite from 10fow out to 130ft. Fished boards with spoon and stick baits over 40fow marked a few fish. Got to the drop off and nothing unless your out in 130fow. Going to throw the towel in on Seneca till something starts happening.
  10. Sucks... lol. Any idea what they weighed?
  11. Lol that's my other excuse. Guys past Sampson sounded like they were struggling to get fish too... I wanna know what they are eating and where all the bait went lol
  12. Had yo pull off Seneca, started to get pretty wicked by the barge. Going to try the north end later
  13. What is that? Got a brand name I can look up?
  14. Pretty nice on the west side today. Not marking much and so far no bait. West side Sampson, almost to power plant
  15. Gotta work. Everyone that is seasonal is leaving next couple weeks. Time to pound out the trim jobs. Hopefully Sunday will be good day.
  16. Anyone got the water temps? Girl friend said she saw a big silver fish jump next to shore in Geneva. Lol pack the boat up let's go.
  17. You can only run 3 rods solo correct? I ran 4 one day then realized I better check the rules and regulations before sticking bunch setups out and getting a ticket lol
  18. Ok that's what I thought. Next year I'm going to try run the Seth rigs. You said 5 connections per rod? Then you can stick 3 rods out and still be legal, correct?
  19. Yeah it does thanks. Any requirements for the pole? Need a roller tip for wire?
  20. All I catch on Seneca is perch and pike One small mouth opening day. I can still count all the fish this year on two hands out of Seneca... I'm swamped with work for two weeks... hopefully I can sneak out on the lake one day this week.
  21. I see the charter captains running boards and top lines last two weekends in the north end. That's the day I got that pike on a board... I would get a pike trying to target salmon lol
  22. Pink and clear coat with sparkles. Save the ta-tas
  23. Caught a legal salmon on Cayuga on boards 5 colors Sutton 32. I examined what it was eating... black flies. Wonder if they are eating fly hatches. Soon it will be cold enough there won't be any more bugs... also found couple Lakers. Girl friend fixed a stinger spoon with nail polish... it went 5 to 1! looks like I'll be ready for some good old R&r Saturday if I get a day off... might buy a water probe to figure out those temp breaks. Hope I can get it over nighted
  24. Waiting to see what otherwise caught. Hard to believe Seneca isn't giving up any fish
