I been meaning to look up slide divers. Still got a lot to learn. Suppose to pick those DRs tomorrow but universal in the truck popped a top... if isn't one thing it's another. Good ol'Murphy's law.

Out Dean's and headed north past the winery, headed north in 80 to 150fow. Caught bunch dinks with one nice grab that was bigger fish. Not sure what it was, never broke the surface. Little further while reeling in another drink, wham! Pole bent down and started peeling line. Laker on mag diver 80ft down over 120fow. He made a few nice runs. After that it was close to dark, pulled in my mag diver and ran 5 and 7 colors on boards and a top line. That was short lived, didn't want to filet my fish in the dark...

I usually run solo. If I run two riggers I can only run one more pole which would probably core with a board. I might just do the one rigger on this boat and when I upgrade get two riggers. I probably could get a partner to go with me if I had a more comfortable boat lol

Nice. I'll be driving to get some. Makes so much more sense to have down triggers then dipsys. No guessing.

Ah yeah horrible weekend any way. Today is very nice day. To bad fish on Seneca suck! Lol

I didn't measure. To be honest I didn't expect to catch anything. I was killing time to meet some one about some work. I got it on close, enough to grab the jig head and she swam off. Always nice to see a pretty fish go back.

I realize it after I made the post Because fish numbers in streams have been so bad, I released my catch. Hope others would do the same knowing that it was a female. How would I have got the male to bite? You can pm me info.

Is it still legal to fish streams in finger lakes? Found a bunch big rainbows. Caught a female and let her go. Huge male would not bite! Female kept biting my jig... ugh lol

Any luck on Cayuga?

Sounds good. I found one in the classifieds for $250 electric, looks a bit big for my little boat tho. I might do with a new one depending on if I get these next 3 cotton woods. Three of them over 100 ft tall. Rubber band sounds like a good idea. Braces size rubber bands or the ones a little bigger? Just found 3 for $105 each. Probably get one today if the guy answers.

FLTCo Spoons- The " must have" spoons?

This is my first year. I been writing down some stuff but most of the stuff I am learning now will stick with me. I've been giving Seneca a lot of my time, everyone says it's an off year. You never know what you will catch if you never try anything new:) Plus the Suttons can be hard to get a hold of. -

When fishing Seneca I'll usually run something for an hour, then try something else if it doesn't work. Threw out the hour I usually adjusted dipsy depths, how many colors are out, board distances. Usually Sutton 22 do well. Gold and silver 71s have produced the best but he hasn't had them in and Naples pretty far drive for me if he doesn't have them in. I don't know what speed I run, usually different speeds, I'll switch to east and west to a bit then continue my directs. Some times the Sutton won't produce but Pink and Orange will. Figured I would save some of the learning curve and get some reviews before spending $100 on random lures. -

Won't lines get tied up when it releases? Also the other thing is, won't it get wrapped around the main line that trails behind the release? I'm looking at a down trigger setup... made a little extra this week lol
