I run a snubber below my probe but other than that that's how I run mine. Just wait until you see how gingerly you let go of that probe for the first time and the next 50x after that. It's not the best feeling dropping 300$ over the side of the boat dangling on a cable.

Last year I put 21hrs on my main and 317hrs on the kicker my 4stroke uses around a 1/4-1/5 of a gallon an hr. Between fuel savings wear and tear on the big motor and safety to me it's a no brainer.

I have a 16ft Starcraft and have a 6hp tohatsu sail pro and love it. If you are looking at a 4hp I know tohatsu and mercs use the same motors for the 4-6hp so the weights are the same. Any single cylinder will vibrate I have mine mounted on a rubber mount and it's not bad at all

You're link is taking us to a beer commercial
Haha try this one.

I have the 6hp sail pro and it pushes my boat great and runs perfect. It does take a few pulls to get started if it's real cold out but other than that it starts on the first pull.

I'll check tomorrow if I remember.

Thanks - obviously I'll need ones that you can rotate each holder around the mast, correct?
Also - are these any good for storage of rods while under power etc?
Mine are fixed position holders with a rotating base and I have never had a problem. My rods are in the trees when I'm running.
Check out maddocks.com a set of triple trees with adjustable bases to my door for around 215$ is hard to beat.

Boat setup plays into it but on my little boat I couldn't live without my vertical Rod trees.

How do you guys rig the meatball? I use them on lake George and champlain for lakers but after seeing a 1lb ball go through the windshield of an islander when A king came unbutton at the net I decided they weren't worth it for kings.

Order berts holders from north woods outlet in pinconning Michigan. Best price around and great company to deal with. I think they were $65 each. Just be sure u either tape the caps on or use a better glue.
Thanks I'll look into them.

Not to hijack this thread but is this common for traxtech customer service I was planning on ordering Rod holders this week and was leaning towards the traxtechs.

I have trolled a lake in the Adirondacks where we camp at night and caught lakers, salmon and rainbows on flat lines in July. They definitely come out out of temperature at night. I have done best 1to 3am.

I received my weights today and the quality and workmanship are 2nd to none. I can't wait to try them in a couple weeks. Thanks again

Can I buy it? That seems like an awesome deal.. Dumb question because it's so cheap is this everything I need to have speed and temp? If so I would love to purchase it
It's a td its a 1 piece unit that you clip to your line or cannonball and it gives gives you a temp every 5ft of depth. They are an awesome tool for dipseys and junk lines. They also work great to find temp if you don't have a probe.

8'3" ugly's on the riggers tdr's for dipseys

Any idea what shipping would be?

Take the front hook off and bounce it off of the bottom. Deadly.
BINGO!
If that set up doesn't catch trout you need a new spot!

I need some guidance on speeds for april-may. Also if using pro trolls do u run s&g behind them or spoons?
What can u run behind cowbells or lake trolls? Spoons and or spin and glows?
Hard to beat a flat fist behind cowbells or hammer heads.

I did the same thing at 2am as we were leaving to head to Oswego. We finally found a fuse up by the throttle. That was a yamaha outboard.
