    I'm looking to upgrade my Fishfinder and am checking out the 8" Onix units. Anyone out there using one that could give me some insight? Always hesitant to lay out the $ they ask for high end electronics these days. Thanks for any help.

    I purchased a Baystar kit and converted my boat to hydraulic steering but didn't need this helm because my old one fit and works fine. This Tilt helm will work with hydraulic or rack and pinion steering. New, never installed but not in original box. Sale includes a small package of hardware.     Just tried again. Attaching a picture of what I get when I hit send. Looks like it isn't you blocking but the system. I suspect it has something to do with your PayPal ID being in there. Anyway, The shipping is going to make them a bit more than I want to put in them. Maybe fishhook will take them. If he gets over his giggles.

    Hey guys, I've been on the other side of that kind of fiasco. Had a new guy and his grandson on the boat so not much help with boards and lines. To add to the problem, the wind came up making the lake rough and I turned to help them do something, don't even remember what now but it took longer than I realized and I let my boat get too far to starboard and actually bumped a guy's boat with my starboard board. Talk about feeling stupid and looking like a green amateur. At that point, not much to say except sorry and get my board reeled in closer 'til we got away. I guess you'll just have days like that.

    Not sure what you're asking Mayb4. I didn't advertise a base. If you're needing a base for an 2 3/8" Atwood pedestal I have 2 or 3 new one s around.

    Egoody, I got the material and have my pedestal all ready to go. I appreciate the pictures and info you provided. Haven't gotten to the lake yet to try it out but I'm sure I'll love it. Thanks!!

    You're right Steely they are no longer available. Just thought somebody might have one they'd turn loose of. I'm not familiar with The Springfield base. Is it tapered? Do you know what diameter pedestal it accepts? The atwood is straight and accepts 2 3/8" pedestals. I called Big Jon. If I send them what I have, they'll custom make me a mount for around $65.

    Anyone have one of these laying around? I've never actually seen one but if they'll fit in Atwood 2 3/8" bases, I'd like to buy one. I'm still looking to buy a set of used Aurora Lites or Great Lakes Tackle Shop Plastic boards too.
