  1. The bite is tough sometimes in the fall, and all year long. You could have a personal best day, But sometimes despite your best efforts, hardly anything will bite. Everybody on this forum has had at least 1 day [emoji6]where they didn’t catch a fish and hardly moved a rod.
Keep trying. Trust your electronics and learn to use them. Speed is critical. ****, 3 weeks ago we got skunked but as we pulling the gear, we played a bottom of the 10th smb to bite on the last rigger spoon as I reeled her in. Saved the day but. I wasn’t fishing for bass.

  2. Out for the afternoon.

    3-8.

Lost 2 silvers that I might lose sleep over....,

as they danced at the surface behind the boat.

    The one was fatttttt.

Landed a dink but legal Bow and 2 keeper Lakers. Bite was around 50-70. East side mid lake.

No wind hardly at all despite forecast. . Down currents all over the place per usual.

  3. Guys. I have read all this and numerous good points have been made.
Skn is identified as one of the premier Rainbow/landlocked salmon fisheries in the area. The Lt, perch, and bass fishing isn't bad either. It might be fun to throw a nice walleye in the casting mix from time to time. But my only hope is that the rainbow fishery not get destroyed by the walleye.

But, ecology is constantly changing.....and so are the lakes. Get in the fishing diary programs with the DEC. report your numbers and trips. Hopefully we can all target the species we desire in skn.
