Mexico fishing report
J-Lopez replied to Logger Gen II's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
No target speed for me 2.2-2.4. Is it sure why it was so slow in the pic. Fish hawk was showing around a mile difference. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

Heading to Lewiston for the weekend with the wife. Thinking about being the boat and fishing couple hours each day. Are the conditions this weekend going to be worth the 6hrs tow out there? I’ve only fish the river once, Artpark area so still learning. Thanks for the any info. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I’ve never fished stripers before, but I’m in Kingston for the next weeks for work. I didn’t bring the boat this week but considering bringing it down the next two weeks. I’m staying off exit 19, any suggestions on where to launch. General tips. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Im ew to it also this was only my second brown trip. This site helped a ton. I tried to keep the boat in 10. I watched the temp looking for warmer water. 37-38 was the best we got. Found 40 but it was over 40’ when we made our turn. Also didn’t take any hits until we found darker water. Went from seeing every pebble to just barely seeing bottom. Got out for the first time. Trolled west went 6 for 6. one being a nice rainbow. Browns were taken on blue chrome bay rat and spoon other two on black silver bay rat. Rainbow on pink/purple. Bigger Browns had lots of lamprey wounds. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

For now looks of it I’ll be on the water around 9 until 4 or 5. (7 hrs on the road for 8hrs of fishing) Unless It gets real wet. Thinking Mexico point and troll SW. I think that’s where the wind is out of. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I’m thinking of making a day trip Thursday to Pulaski area, if my boat is back. How important is it to be on the water early. I assume as the day warms up so would the water, or does that not matter? I would like to head out early but may have a daycare issue. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
