  8. Im ew to it also this was only my second brown trip. This site helped a ton. I tried to keep the boat in 10. I watched the temp looking for warmer water. 37-38 was the best we got. Found 40 but it was over 40’ when we made our turn. Also didn’t take any hits until we found darker water. Went from seeing every pebble to just barely seeing bottom. 13. For now looks of it I’ll be on the water around 9 until 4 or 5. (7 hrs on the road for 8hrs of fishing) Unless It gets real wet. Thinking Mexico point and troll SW. I think that’s where the wind is out of. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. I’m thinking of making a day trip Thursday to Pulaski area, if my boat is back. How important is it to be on the water early. I assume as the day warms up so would the water, or does that not matter? I would like to head out early but may have a daycare issue. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. It does, thank you. Is the bearing something I can get from big jon, or did you get it elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I bought two big jons off the site last year. Boom broke on one and motor burned up on one and the other probably isn’t long for this world. Has anyone replace a motor? I haven’t pulled it apart yet but from the outside it doesn’t look like it will be hard. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Want to hit the lake in April I usually fish east end but my wife wants to pick a weekend now to put in for time off. I hate to do it and have 6 footers and not be able to fish. I fished Niagara river for the first time in December. It’s twice the drive but I was thinking if the Bar was rough the river would be fishable. Want to target Browns but really just want to get the wife on Fish and if I’m not mistaken there are kings there in the spring. Thanks for any input. 19. If I catch the accidental walleye I’m happy. The state has been stuffing eyes in the lake also. So use a worm harness with a minnow? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Does anyone target whitefish? What techniques and tackle are effective this time of year. I live near lake Pleasant which I’m told holds a lot of whitefish. I want to try something new but only found info on catching them through the ice. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
