Lots of details switched to smaller flashers added a gambler rig [emoji79]put flashers on right way... stopped sticking to one general depth extended dipsys to 300-350 started with spoons and flys they hit flys. W preference for chartreuse and white retooled to match when found fish kept pounding area ....

Yeah I have been doing exact same a monster ring should add 10 percent braided line 10 percent so 250 out according to chart should have it down 88-96 feet....
What size flashers are you guys using ?

Two was interfering with lead core up middle 200-250 on braid 30 lb test on leader

Have three kids on boat run 5 lines aware of bottom rather pop a dipsy than lose a weight

Hit water at dawn ran north to a little south of sheldrake trolled north trying to get used to down riggers and only caught one small ll. Figured out was screwing up on releases after wasting half morning struggled with some magnum dipsy issues too... and my copper line kinked all to hell... new strategy for tomorrow... proper set on releases lol no more than 20 ft behind the ball... run one flasher fly and the spoon dodger combo the salmon hot today.. standard dipsys out near bottom with gambler cow bells and redoing copper to a lead core up middle with a 30 foot leader fluorocarbon ....any other advice? Ran straight dipsys last week and the copper and boated 8 lost 6 add down riggers and my effectiveness dropped bad...

I did my butter lemon Parmesan bake last night and it rocked on sundays catch... we cooked a Lake Ontario laker after freezing couple years ago and it sucked but we've downed several this week fresh ... there was no clear winner on my two preps ... need to try smoking it next

I tried two ways with a laker and brown last week
1. Prep as described above bled on catch immediately iced and kept cold trimmed out.
Method 1
Brown sugar, honey, kosher salt and garlic and olive oil whipped to a butter consistency coat and bake at 350 till it caramelizes dons over cook it, done with skin on bottom...
Second way
Marinade in butter lemon juice garlic powder Parmesan cheese and Italian spice like perfect pinch bake at 350 or grill
Most important don't over cook it flaky and moist consistency ...

Last weekend I posted help on Cayuga there were two primary pieces of advice I could implement one was to use a troll sock to slow down from 3 mph to 2.2-2.5 and add dodgers to my spoons.. also add a fish hawk but that will have to wait... and the results were above
1 nice brown three lakers and released two small lakers and a land locked that was small... only changes were the two above items and fishing a like further north...between power plant and long point...
So thank you advice givers spot on !! Also lost 6 all in three hours...

Hit Cayuga with John from finger lakes angling zone today working on jigging and expanding my knowledge of the lake... immensely helpful and we boated 18 fish in five hours 16 lakers one land locked and this huge beautiful brown lost another half dozen or more hook ups ... now I can jig and next is dialing in the trolling ... thanks John kids and I had a blast
